It all started with a family living in the slams of Harare. They were living near the CBD but the conditions they were living in were a bit unbearable. They were a family of eight people, six children and two parents.

With this big family and living in a three roomed house was no joke. The condition were a bit better in our area but they were bad. Sleeping in the living room and waking up early everyday so that people won't see you folding your blankets and not laugh at you is a hassle.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Sarah. I have three sisters and two brothers. I come from a poor family, so I thrived everyday to have a better life for myself and my family. I love my family even though we fight sometimes but we always end up laughing about it.

Since I was young, I never really lived with my family for long. My father lived in South Africa to find a better job to provide for us and my mom would come and go between Zimbabwe and South Africa. We were left with a house maid to carter for all our needs.

From when I was young my life was just ordinary till I was in grade six.
