"Empress Mother, your daughter-in-law has come to take Doudou back for lunch," Nangong Nini paid her respects to the Empress.
"The Crown Princess is here," the Empress looked at Nangong Nini, "Come, take a seat."
Nangong Nini was composed and graceful wherever she went, with a lovable and vivacious nature, especially when it came to her son. Unlike other daughters-in-law who disliked their mothers-in-law meddling with their grandchildren, she was utterly carefree, frequently bringing the child to the Empress. Sometimes, the Empress even grew weary of it.
After all, what was there to enjoy in looking after a little brat who did nothing but cause trouble? An occasional playtime was bearable, but to take care of him day in and day out, the Empress's old back was close to giving out.
"Empress Mother, has Doudou been well-behaved today? Has he not troubled you?" Nangong Nini inquired. As she spoke, Doudou stumbled over, "Mother, Mother, I'm hungry!"
