Nan Sichen looked up and glanced at Qin Yin, probably not expecting it to be Qin Muchuan either; he had thought it was Qin Muliang, so he said with a slight embarrassment, "Happy New Year!"
On the other end of the phone, Qin Muchuan was momentarily stunned, thinking he must have heard wrong— Nan Sichen had actually wished him a Happy New Year.
Qin Yin stood by, laughing her head off, her mouth almost unable to close from all the laughter.
Nan Sichen stuffed the phone back into Qin Yin's hand, cleared his throat softly, and left the restaurant.
Qin Yin, trying hard to stifle her laughter, called out, "Uncle."
"Hmm, that was Nan Sichen just now, wasn't it?" Qin Muchuan also asked with a laugh.
"Yes, he thought it was..." Qin Yin didn't finish her sentence, simply laughing softly and adding, "That's just how he is, all awkward. Don't mind him."
"Not at all, I actually think Nan Sichen is quite decent," Qin Muchuan said cheerfully.
