Mu Jinxi became nervous and asked: "Where, where are you?"
"I'm in X Country, what's up?" For the first time, Jone's voice was not reminiscent of his normal feminine tone and was instead decidedly masculine.
"When are you coming back?" Mu Jinxi asked awkwardly.
Instead of replying, Jone asked back, "Are you missing me?"
Mu Jinxi replied uncomfortably: "No, no, I was just asking casually."
Jone laughed a bit sarcastically, "I must've been overthinking. I'm fortunate to even get a casual check-in from you."
"You..." Mu Jinxi was left speechless by Jone's stinging words.
"Does admitting that you miss me mean death to you? Is it really so difficult? Lily, just say that you miss me and I'll immediately come back. Will you say it?" Jone asked, somewhat earnest.
"I don't miss you," Mu Jinxi replied defiantly.
Jone laughed, "Yeah, I figured."
