After dinner, Uncle Zhang, Aunt Mian, returned with a group of young girls who had been taking photos. They said they would continue shooting tomorrow, thus, they'd probably stay overnight. Luckily, the house was big enough to accommodate everyone and had enough rooms.
As the night fell, the weather turned a bit chilly. Uncle Zhang and Aunt Mian started a bonfire outside. Many folks, both familiar and unfamiliar, gathered around to enjoy the flickering flames, conversing, laughing, and even dancing together.
Qin Yin, having eaten her fill, had retired to her room to rest for a while. When she came back down, she found all the girls sitting around Nan Sichen, who was lounging comfortably on a chaise, holding a cup of peach wine. He would take small sips occasionally, seemingly tipsy.
One daring girl even managed to perch herself on the armrest of Nan Sichen's chair, engaging him in conversation.
