"Indeed." The elder Mrs. Nan felt a sense of pride, the proudest thing in her life was raising a grandson like Nan Sichen.
While the two old ladies were laughing, Mrs. Nan suddenly cried out in pain. The servant asked in shock, "What's the matter, madam?"
"It seems like something is pricking me." Mrs. Nan frowned, with sweat forming on her forehead from the pain.
The servant, frightened, carefully lifted up her cheongsam, and amid Mrs. Nan's trembling, found the pin that was causing the distress.
"Oh, it's a pin after all." The servant scrutinized the wire-like object in her hand, "It's thick, and twisted, not at all like a needle."
She leaned in to examine Mrs. Nan's body. Fortunately, it was just a scratch, but it was a bit deep.
The servant frowned and said, "Let me fetch medication for you."
"Mmm." Mrs. Nan nodded, and then extended her hand, "Let me take a look at that pin in your hand."
