Qin Yin looked at Nan Sichen with wide eyes, not understanding why he called her dumb. It took her a while to glare at him. Unable to withhold himself, Nan Sichen added, "She dislikes being interrupted when she's playing chess."
His words barely left his mouth when the servants expressed even greater surprise. It was rare to see their young master patiently explain something to someone. Even when dealing with the old lady, he could not be bothered to utter more than a word.
Nan Sichen, with Qin Yin nestled in his arms, was watching TV when he suddenly heard the old lady's voice from the French window she was sitting next to, "Miss Qin, come over here for a moment."
Qin Yin looked at Nan Sichen in astonishment. Nan Sichen gave the old lady a deep glance, then walked towards her with Qin Yin still in his arms.
It took just a few steps for Qin Yin's palms to start sweating. Feeling her nervousness, Nan Sichen, the one holding her hands, calmly said in her ear, "Don't be afraid."
