Qin Yin started to laugh, "Has the kitchen run out of salt today?"
"Huh?" Nan Sichen took a bite of eggplant himself, only then realizing that the dish bizarrely lacked any flavor. Salt, the king of all flavors, no matter how many other condiments you use, without salt, the dish just wouldn't taste right.
"Try this one." Nan Sichen leisurely picked up a piece of scrambled eggs with tomatoes and passed it to Qin Yin.
Qin Yin took a bite and still found it tasteless. She said with a teasing smile, "Is the house really out of salt?"
"We have some." Nan Sichen replied.
Qin Yin looked surprised at the dishes before asking, "Then why is there no salt in these dishes?"
"I forgot to put it in." Nan Sichen responded nonchalantly.
"Huh?" Qin Yin was taken aback, holding back her laughter. After struggling for a while, she couldn't hold it back anymore and burst into laughter, "So, did you prepare all these dishes yourself?"
