Before Qin Yin could finish her sentence, Nan Sichen was already up, striding over to her. He wrapped an arm around her waist and guided her to the dining table. Then he took a seat across from her.
Qin Yin stared at the cake in front of her and began to eat quietly. Then she drained the milk in her cup in one gulp.
She stood up and declared, "I'm done eating. I'm leaving."
Nan Sichen stood as well, wiping the corner of his mouth. He grabbed his car key and said, "Together."
Qin Yin looked warily at Nan Sichen. She still recalled those rumors that had almost drowned her. So, she said, "You're not allowed to say that I'm your wife at work."
"Are you aggrieved to be my wife?"
Nan Sichen's voice was as detached and cold as ever.
Qin Yin shook her head, "No, I'm just afraid of people saying that I'm climbing the social ladder. Life is already hard enough, I fear public opinion, do you understand? Do you?"
"Who dares?" Nan Sichen coldly uttered two words.
