Qin Yin looked up at him, seeing an emotion called joy in his deep, sea-like eyes. His gaze was as intense as the midday sun, searing her so much that she had to look away.
She lowered her gaze slightly, only to hear Nan Sichen's calm voice, "You guys can leave now. We'll discuss this matter again after work."
Upon seeing his enormous smile, the two men present looked at Nan Sichen, glanced at Qin Yin insinuatingly, left the room and considerately closed the door behind them.
Qin Yin finally dared to look at Nan Sichen. His gaze was profound, his lips held a slight smile, and with a trembling voice, he asked, "Do you wish to get engaged with me?"
Qin Yin remained silent. She had only come to ask why they weren't getting engaged anymore and wanted some sort of explanation to give to her father.
Seeing Qin Yin stay quiet, Nan Sichen spoke again, "The reason I am not getting engaged with you is because I want to proceed to marriage directly."
