Qin Yin had been planning to tell her that she wouldn't be home for dinner, but had no answer despite the phone ringing for seemingly forever. She furrowed her brows as she glanced at her phone, then dialled Jian Yanyan's number.
It was quickly answered at Jian Yanyan's end. Jian Yanyan picked up the call with a merry laugh and, without waiting for Qin Yin to speak, asked, "Yinyin, tomorrow is the weekend. Are we making our own dinner or eating out tonight? How about we buy some groceries, I can invite Shen Mingfeng over for dinner tomorrow."
Jian Yanyan sounded very excited. Qin Yin quietly listened till the end, then gently responded, "I won't be home for dinner tonight. My dad is sick, I need to go home."
