People always seem to enjoy hanging out outdoors on summer nights. Even when it feels late at the office, stepping outside to find so many people still stirring makes Qin Yin unafraid.
At the car, she didn't rush to get in. She tapped on the window first. Nan Sichen rolled down the window, and Qin Yin tilted her head to ask him, "Hey, are you taking me home?"
Nan Sichen didn't respond, instead rolling the window back up. Puzzled, Qin Yin stood there, wondering why he'd been the one to call her.
Before she could gather her thoughts, the passenger side door opened from the inside. Nan Sichen's slightly impatient voice came, "Get in."
Qin Yin got in the car. Before she could settle down, the car sped off like an arrow let loose from its bow.
Qin Yin swayed in her seat. Nan Sichen glanced back at her, slowed the car, and reached over to buckle her seatbelt.
