She blinked and blinked again, wanting to say something, but she was unsure whether to say "I'm sorry" or "Thank you".
After the two shrieks from the women, many people looked over, all gasping in surprise like they had been frozen in place. No one made further moves. They all maintained their previous postures, their mouths wide open.
It was unclear whether they were surprised or horrified.
Surprised that Nan Sichen would actually initiate embracing a woman. It was too incredible, more surprising than the sun rising from the West.
Horrified because this woman had dared to smash a glass onto his face.
Everyone looked at Qin Yin as if she was a dead woman, thinking that the next second she would be choked to death by Nan Sichen.
Yet, minute by minute, the time passed and he did not choke her, instead, he asked in a low voice, "Is everything alright?"
His voice was chill and cold but deep and magnetic. He rarely spoke, but these simple three words echoed throughout the room.
Qin Yin clumsily tried to get up from his arms, but she couldn't move, unless Nan Sichen helped her. However, it was clear he had no intention of doing so.
Qin Yin clung to his arm and cried out, "Don't you dare let go, if you dare to let go, I'll bite you."
As she spoke, she showed her gleaming, beautiful white teeth.
Nan Sichen's expression was indifferent, giving no indication of his thoughts.
Qin Han put the wine glass on the coffee table in front of the sofa, walked over, and pulled Qin Yin back, reproachfully saying, "Sis, what are you doing? You're being impulsive, look at Brother Sichen's face, it's all red from where you hit him."
Actually, deep inside, Qin Han was infuriated with Qin Yin, believing that Qin Yin's fall was just a ploy to attract Nan Sichen's attention.
With a pull from Qin Han, Qin Yin finally got up from Nan Sichen's arms.
Nan Sichen looked at his suddenly empty arms, momentarily dazed. He then said nothing, glanced at the red wine on Qin Han's dress, and continued to sit on the sofa, sipping his drink.
Qin Han was a bit annoyed, but she didn't want to appear too fiesty in front of Nan Sichen, so she managed to force a smile and said, "I'm going to the restroom."
With Qin han gone, Qin Yin's eyes were firmly fixed on the glass of wine Qin Han left on the table, her gaze burning. Was this the wine they had drugged?
Nan Sichen took a sip of his drink and noticed that Qin Yin didn't seem to have any intention of leaving. Instead, she was fixated on the wine on the table. There was a look in her eyes that suggested she was craving that drink.
"Want a sip?" he suddenly asked.
"Huh?" Qin Yin was taken aback for a moment. She was still thinking about how to warn Nan Sichen. Would he believe her?
"Come sit." Nan Sichen patted the seat next to him.
He spoke in a commanding tone, not a negotiating one. Perhaps it was just his usual manner of communication. Though Qin Yin felt a bit uncomfortable, she complied; she had something she wanted to say.
Nan Sichen picked up the two drinks that Qin Han had brought over. He handed one to Qin Yin and held the other in his hand, speaking succinctly, "Drink".
Still with a commanding tone.
Qin Yin wanted to retort with, "Drink my ass, this has drugs in it." But there were too many people around; she couldn't say it. If she did, the Nan Family would undoubtedly hold someone accountable. It wasn't that she cared about this mother and daughter, but that it would damage the entire Qin Family, and harm her father.
