He drove the car while keeping an eye on the taxi ahead, then he took out his phone and dialed Qin Yin.
Qin Yin was sitting in the car, daydreaming when she heard her phone ring. She took it out and saw, to her surprise, that it was Nan Sichen calling. She answered, her voice faint and indifferent, "Hello."
Nan Sichen didn't speak for a long while, just silently staring at the car in front.
"Nan Sichen?" Qin Yin called out to him with a hint of confusion.
The taxi driver in front was surprised to look at Qin Yin, probably not expecting that an ordinary-looking woman would know Nan Sichen, would she?
The driver sized up Qin Yin through the rearview mirror but couldn't figure anything out.
The driver withdrew his gaze, thinking that perhaps he had heard wrong.
When Nan Sichen heard Qin Yin call him, he finally spoke deeply, saying something Qin Yin hadn't anticipated at all, "I miss you!"
