Jiang Mei was alone in the dorm room, reading. She was the only one who picked up the dorm phone, as everyone else in the dorm had their own cell phones, and she didn't, so the dorm phone was usually meant for her.
She actually enjoyed the ringing of the dorm's telephone, as most of the time it was Li Hui who was calling. Whenever the phone rang, her spirits lifted, and her heart would fill with sweetness knowing her boyfriend was on the line.
She picked up the phone and softly called, "Li Hui."
Qin Yin paused for a few seconds before starting to laugh on the other end of the line, "Meimei, it's me, were you expecting Li Hui? Hasn't he called you yet today?"
Upon recognizing Qin Yin's voice, Jiang Mei's face flushed. Stammering in a low voice, she said, "Not yet, but he has a program today. He's probably busy."
"Li Hui is busy with a program too, huh? Meimei, why didn't you sign up for one? It's your last campus activity." Qin Yin said.
