Qin Yin paused, putting down her chopsticks, and watched her father rage without uttering a word. She was becoming increasingly numb to his anger. This wasn't the first time. She didn't want to say much, so she stood up, picked up her bag, and said, "Since you all look down on me so much, why do you go to such great lengths to call me back? Enjoy your meal, I'm leaving."
As soon as Qin Yin mentioned leaving, Qin Muliang overthrew the table in anger. The whole room was filled with the sound of porcelain shattering. The food from the entire table fell on the floor, leaving a mess of greasy spills and soup.
Qin Yin merely watched in detachment for a moment, then she picked up her bag and walked towards the door.
"Stay right there." Qin Muliang hollered from behind, "You've grown up and think you're independent now, don't you?"
Qin Yin stood still without uttering a word.
