"Really?!" Another aunt appears skeptical.
"What a question! Do you think I'd lie about something like this? Never mind the single pearl, she even paid for my son's tuition and miscellaneous fees! Otherwise, where would I get the money to take a flight!" There was a hint of bragging in her voice.
The other aunt seemed even more incredulous. Even though extravagant dowries were not expected anymore, having a woman going out of her way to pay for a man was unheard of.
It's not like she can't get married!

"You still don't believe it?" the short-haired aunt continued, "She's visiting our home next month, surely bringing a pile of gifts along. You should come and see for yourself."
She wasn't lying. Her son was indeed capable! She was filled with pride that he had a woman willingly offering herself to him.
