Alex conversed with Jhin as much as he could—sharing details of what he had seen and what he knew. However, at some point, he had to return to his room. One of the guards knocked on his door around 6 o'clock in the evening, bringing his dinner.
"Good evening, sir," the guard said when Alex opened the door. "Here's your dinner. Someone will come to collect the dishes in half an hour."
The guard offered food and drink. With a smile, Alex accepted them, "Thank you. And how is the situation outside? Do you know anything?"
"Well, I'm not sure if we can talk about it..."
Anyone could imagine that the guard, even if he knew something, wouldn't share privileged information with Alex, a guest. But Alex had an ace up his sleeve ready to be used.
