The next objective Alex had in mind was to take over the mansion that Joseph found and turn it into their base, their home of operations. They tried to do it just the two of them, Alex and Joseph, but the number of vampires inside was too much, and they were unable to complete it. But not all was lost. Alex now had Samantha on his side, a newly turned vampire. Not only her, but Joseph wanted to become a vampire too and bring his granddaughter along — both big fans of vampires IRL.
After meeting with Samantha, ensuring everything was fine with her, the two walked back to where the tunnel entrance was. Alex showed everything to her.
"This is the entrance you will use now that you are a vampire. You noticed how the church is on high alert near the city's gates, so we need to use this, or else they can and will spot us," Alex said. He pushed the vines to the side, revealing the entrance to the tunnel, and the two went inside.
