Behind Joseph was something unsettling, something Alex never thought he would see in that place.
It wasn't a ghost, as Joseph had speculated, or as the rumors suggested. No, it was visibly a type of creature that was there, alive. Well, "alive" might be a strong word.
[Ghoul (LVL 20)]
It was a Ghoul! A kind of undead creature, with a hunched body and pointed ears like a goblin. Its skin was gray, lifeless, and its eyes were red.
The teeth were visible, yellow with remnants of skin, and the creature had a malicious, evil smile. It was evident that it was there to tear into Joseph's flesh and have it as a snack.
"Watch out!" Alex shouted.
Joseph, despite being a player who focused more on the merchant profession, wasn't foolish. He had reached level 17—among the highest levels on the server—so when Alex shouted, he ran without even questioning or hesitating.
