Chereads / Fallen God: From Ogre to Titan Giant / Chapter 40 - Fierce battle

Chapter 40 - Fierce battle

The next moment, a set of bone armor grew from the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, enveloping both the beast and Alexander.

This was the effect of the Bone Armor, which Alexander had equipped on the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus.

As the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus fed and gnawed, the Bone Armor could also devour various bones, evolving and fortifying itself.

Roaring...

The Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, having spotted the distant enemy, let out a skyward howl before charging furiously.

As the distance closed, Alexander finally saw the full form of the approaching dark creature.

The Demon beetle appeared like a giant centipede.

However, unlike a typical centipede, the Demon beetle was massive, measuring over eighty meters in length, and it was flying low.

Numerous thin, long tentacles on either side of the Demon beetle's body flapped continuously, supporting its rapid low-altitude flight.

Sizzle...

Alexander hurled a spear, which rapidly pierced towards the Demon beetle.

Boom!

The spear shattered, leaving only a shallow dent on the Demon beetle, from which dark blood oozed.

Hissing...

Alexander's provocative attack directly enraged the Demon beetle. The creature continued to screech, accelerating its dive towards Alexander.

Alexander, riding on the back of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, raised an eyebrow, feeling a mix of regret and powerlessness.

While Alexander's strength was formidable, the poor quality of the spear he had thrown couldn't withstand the impact.

Otherwise, that strike would have definitely penetrated the Demon beetle's body, inflicting significant damage.

Seeing the spear throwing technique ineffective, Alexander had no choice but to take out the silver-grade bone spear gifted to him by Soul Dodd, preparing for close combat with the Demon beetle.

Just then, the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus and the Demon beetle, charging at each other, came into close contact, erupting into a brutal melee.

The Abyssal Tyrannosaurus lunged at the Demon beetle's head with its massive jaws, its sharp teeth glistening menacingly.

At the same time, the claws of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus reached for the Demon beetle's lower jaw.

However, all these efforts were in vain.

Just as the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus was about to strike, a dense, dark green mist erupted from the mouth of the Demon beetle, forming a sphere-like shield that blocked the powerful attack of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus.

The next second, from the Demon beetle's large body, a pair of longer and sharper claws than the rest suddenly sprang out from the back of its head, its midsection, and its tail.

The Demon beetle dodged the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus's attack, and with a thrust of its newly extended claws into the ground, it propelled itself into the air, preparing to dive onto the back of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus.

The Abyssal Tyrannosaurus reacted swiftly. Its head and claws might not reach the enemy, but it still had its tail.

The Abyssal Tyrannosaurus turned and lashed out with its tail, striking a segment of the huge body of the Demon beetle.

Squeak, squeak, squeak...

The Demon beetle, mid-air, stiffened, emitting a sizzling sound from its mouth, and continued to dive towards the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus despite its injury.

Boom!

The Demon beetle's dive attack succeeded, and it managed to land on the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus.

With the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus being nearly sixty meters long, it was only two-thirds the length of the Demon beetle.

The Demon beetle, having gained the upper hand, waved its tentacular claws frantically around its body, attempting to pierce through the bone armor on the back of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus.

Clang, clang...

The clanging sound alerted Alexander, who had just used the momentum to jump onto the head of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, that this was an opportunity.

Alexander leaped onto the back of the Demon beetle.

Far away, on the stone walls of the valley.

James and Elder Ferrer had already been alerted and were approaching the scene with their men.

Watching the fierce battle between Alexander, the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, and the Demon beetle, they felt both excitement and anxiety.

Excitement, because the ogre tribe finally had someone who could contend with such large dark creatures.

And anxiety, because of Alexander.

Both James and Elder Ferrer didn't want Alexander and the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus to get injured, as their strength was still needed for the coming winter and the Dark Tide.

Outside the valley mouth, a fierce battle ensued.

Of course, it was the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus and the Demon beetle who were locked in combat.

With the protection of the Bone Armor, the Demon beetle could only attack the vulnerable parts of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, unable to inflict serious damage in a short time.

Conversely, each counterattack from the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, as it turned its head, left parts of the Demon beetle's body bloodied and torn.

Alexander gripped the bone spear tightly and plunged it into the Demon beetle's head.

The next moment, streams of black blood gushed out, and the Demon beetle, sprawled on the back of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, struggled wildly.

Seeing this, Alexander's movements were swift and clean, repeatedly stabbing more than a dozen times.

It wasn't until the Demon beetle's large head lay motionless that Alexander finally breathed a sigh of relief.

However, the angry roar of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus did not cease.

During the Demon beetle's violent struggle, its claws had reached the inner thigh of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus, a spot unprotected by bone armor, leaving several claw marks.

Alexander's eyes narrowed slightly; indeed, this centipede-like creature was tough to kill.

The next moment, standing on the Demon beetle's back, Alexander rushed full speed towards its tail.

A deep, fiery gash appeared on the Demon beetle's back, like a deep crack left on parched earth.

Finally, the writhing and squirming body of the Demon beetle ceased all movement.

The Abyssal Tyrannosaurus turned and bit into the Demon beetle's head, pulling the offending creature off its body.

The Abyssal Tyrannosaurus swallowed the Demon beetle's head in a few bites, dragging the body before Alexander, who then leaped onto the back of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus.

Boom, boom, boom!

The heavy footsteps of the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus resounded, not just on the ground, but also in the hearts of every ogre warrior, including Chief James and Elder Ferrer.

Reaching the outside of the stone wall, Alexander raised his spear high, his gaze piercing as he looked at the tribespeople on the wall.

"..."

The next moment, the entire stone wall erupted in cheers.

The shouts echoed deep into the valley, stirring all the ogres.

Inside Alexander's hut, Ravenna and Cassana quietly opened a corner of the hut, stealthily observing the outside.

Regrettably, all they saw was a large fire in the plaza and the darkness beyond the light.

"Ravenna, it looks like the dark creatures didn't break through!"

"Certainly, the ogres' strength ranks among the top tribes in the Black Forest."

Just then, a series of roars from the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus startled both Ravenna and Cassana.

However, it wasn't long before a wave of cheers rose from the mouth of the valley inward.

At the valley entrance, the stone gate was open, and Alexander with the Abyssal Tyrannosaurus had entered.

The massive body of the Demon beetle was also dragged in.
