Chapter 16 - Earlier

[A few hours earlier]

When Lily had left, Luna went towards the fridge, ignoring the corpse encased in ice. She took out the ice cream tub, and went back on the couch, using her spoon, she stubbed at the ice cream, and scooped out a large amount, and swallowed it whole, moaning, as it melted on her tongue.

Her mouth was stuffed, as she felt a pair of eyes on her, she looked up to see a questioning look from her other half. She smiled with a mouthful of ice cream. She gulped it down, and went for the second scoop.

The look Aurora gave her intensified. Aurora wondered whether to be impressed with how nonchalant her sister was taking this whole unfortunate situation, or to hit her in the head, to set her mind right. As of now, it seems to her sister, she has no other thoughts other than eating sugary foods.

Luna gulped down her fourth scoop, and when she was going for the fifth, the glare from her sister, became overbearing. She stared at her with a quizzical look, with one eyebrow raised, as she asked "What?"

"What do you mean what? Did you suddenly forget that that we are practically slaves.. prisoners for lack of a better word.."

"..."

The one being questioned, had resumed gulping down more scoops of ice cream, with a carefree expression. She looked to be in her own world, munching on the ice cream. When she heard no more scolding coming from Aurora, and felt her glare once more, she felt like a deer caught in headlights.

When her eyes refocused on her sister, Luna shrank back from the sheer anger on Aurora's expression. She scratched the back of her head, and nervously chuckled.

"Where you even listening to what I just said?" She questioned, her tone demanding an answer. Luna slightly nodded, her hand itching for another scoop. Aurora saw that, so she reached for the ice cream tub, seeking to snatch it away from her.

But suddenly her movement became sluggish, when she was close to snatching it. She was moving in a snails pace. Luna with normal speed, moved away from the couch, and just like that Aurora could once again move normally.

She snatches away at air, her face flushed, as she fumed with frustration, and embarrassment. She looked up to where Luna was, and glared at her with murderous intention. Luna just brushed her off, and began laughing.

"Would you please just be serious for a moment." Aurora's words came out more of a plea than she had intended. Seeing her like that Luna sighed, and sat back down.

"Of course, I have been listening to you, and I already have a plan." She said with a serious tone, but her hands went for another scoop. Aurora was so happy that at least, her sister wasn't totally gone, that she ignored her brazenness to still be eating the Ice cream in front of her.

Her eyes might as well have been gleaming with shinning stars, as she asked "So, what's the plan?" The eagerness in her tone, put Luna in a somber mood. She knew that false hope won't be getting them out of this situation, so she straight out told her.

"As we stand at the moment, there is no way we are getting out of our current predicament, so.." the eagerness in Aurora drained away, as she realised that the plan that Luna had come up with, wasn't one that would offer a way of escape.

"So?" Aurora asked with no more of her earlier enthusiasm. She looked at Luna with eyes of a dead fish.

"So.. it's best we get in her good graces.." she paused to gauge her sister's expression, but there wasn't any change there.

"Meaning?"

"Well you know what they say, if you can't beat them, join them.. I guess. It's a human expression, it mea-"

"Get to the point already!"

Luna sighed "I think we should help Lily deal with the person who killed her.." she stopped there waiting for Aurora to process what, she just said.

Aurora quickly grasped the meaning, and stared at Luna with eyes blazing with conflicted feelings.

"You mean?"

"Yes!"

"But-"

"I know!"

"You think it will help, she said it herself, she doesn't care about revenge."

"They always say that, until they stare straight in the eyes, of the object of their misfortune, and suddenly all bets are off. You know what I'm talking about."

Aurora nodded, she did know what Luna, was talking about. A heavy silence descended the room, as Aurora muled over Luna's half baked plan. Deep down she knew, Luna is right, all they can do is get into the good graces of Lily.

She wanted to deny it, but she also knew Luna's plan wasn't exactly half baked, judging by the personality of Lily gleaned from their earlier discussion, and her memories imprinted in their minds. They knew if they were to stick to her, she wouldn't betray them.

Sighing, her shoulder sagged. She was mentally tired, so she nodded, in agreement. Luna smile, and finished the ice cream. Her expression betraying how content she was. Aurora knew the ice cream had already bought Luna's loyalty.

Not like she didn't see the benefits herself. She could barely contain herself, when earlier Lily was here, before them, dressed with nothing, but a towel, that could easily had fallen anytime. 'I wish, it would have fallen, just enough to get another glimpse of that beautiful body of hers.. Urgh, what I'm I saying.. I'm not a pervert!'

Aurora shook her head from her lewd thoughts. She stood up, and looked at Luna who followed suit. It was time for the hunt. Aurora's golden eyes glowed brightly. Using the mental image from Lily's memories of the man who killed her, she searched the entire area using her divine sight.

All sorts of places, and people came to view, but ignored all of it, only focusing on the man, she was searching for. Her sight landed on a broken down building, completely empty except for some furniture, and a man, leisurely seating on a comfortable chair, looking down on two beaten down naked women, before his feet.

Aurora eyes stopped glowing one's, she had memorised the image of the place, the man was. She looked at Luna and nodded. She outstretched her hand, and space began to fracture, opening up. On the other side of the fractured space was the man, looking startled.

Luna went through the hole first, and Aurora followed suit, closing the hole behind. Inside the room it was surprisingly clean, but of course only where there was this man's furniture.

"W-who are you people?" The man tried to be intimidating, as he looked at the twins. He stepped away from his naked prey, and moved closer to the twins. Aurora was calm while reeling on the inside, while Luna gazed at the man with disgust, not hiding anything.

The man was simply disgusting. Ignoring his question, Luna stepped towards the two naked women, who looked to be dead inside, not even a hint of fear, or hope at the prospect of being saved. She knelt down before them, and saw only two shells of what used to be humans.

Sighing, she held looked her hand, that was beginning to burn, flames surrounding it. She first drove her hand on the woman closer to her, and she didn't even scream or react, as the burning, hand pierced her skin, grasping her heart, and squeezing the life out of it.

After killing her, Luna was more than certain what she did was for the better. The disgusting man had broken their will, shattered their world, violated their body beyond measure, and stripped away what little was left of their soul, and left nothing, yet even then he kept them as trophies instead of killing them.

He was no man, but a coward, and a beast. But it wasn't Luna's job to bring justice, because as cruel as it might be, she simply did not care about them. But the least she could do, is bring them some semblance of peace, and the best kind of all peace is.. Death!

"YOU BITCH, WHA-" Before he could finish, whatever it is, he was about to say. A shard of ice pierced his lungs, and he fell down to his knees, struggling to breathe, coughing up blood.

Luna ignored his painful gasps, and drove her hand through the skin of the second woman, she watched as her hand melted through the skin, the smell of burning flesh filling her nostrils, but she didn't react to it, already used to the smell of burning flesh.

The hand reached the heart, as the woman coughed up blood, before meeting a timely death, after her burning hand, had grasp her heart, and it melted with a single touch, as her flames boiled the woman's insides. She took out her hand, and let the woman fall with a thud.

She turned to the man gasping on the floor, close to death. But she wasn't going to let him go that easy, not without withstanding unimaginable pain. Close to him, she grasp his hair, with her bloodied hand, and tugged his head back, forcing him to look at her.

His eyes were blurry, and he was in so much pain that he could barely form a single coherent thought, but for some reason he could see the devilish grin, on Luna's face clearly, and he immediately hoped death would claim him, right at that moment. And his wish became firm when he heard the next words.

"Y.o.u a.r.e n.e.x.t.. hehehehe..." Luna spelled out those words, with a cheerful tone, and a cute laughter, making her sound even scarier than all of the hardened criminals, the man had met during the course of his pathetic life.

'PLEASE DEATH... CLAIM ME NOW!'
