COWS ARE BETTER THAN people: Nia, not for the first time thinks this like a distant soundtrack in the back of her mind. Silent (or silently mooing in relief) and professional, they let her do her job without fuss, without breathing in her personal space, without asking her 'when will you enlist as a Private, Nia?'
She is not a people person and she's definitely not a team person either. One-on-one—or just one—jobs she can do perfectly. Driving the Alpha? Great, fantastic. They make small talk, she focus on her driving, he focus on whatever he does back there.
Milking cows like milkmaid is her last name? The awesome job ever. The farmers are 'ever so grateful for your help' and 'no pressure but you're really good at this, you milk them dry, haha'. She gloats when they say that.
