"Basically speaking, follow the rules and no one will have to face the gods of time and space." Hopi said in annoyance. He turns to look at Nizhoni. "Pay close attention, Palila."
Rule number 1: Never tell anyone that we are from other dimensions.
Rule number 2: If we come across any knowledge of future events regarding a dimension, then we must keep said knowledge to ourselves.
Rule number 3: We must maintain the balance of time and space, meaning we need to try and refrain ourselves from meddling in any affairs that don't concern us or other dimensions.
Rule number 4: The only people in those dimensions that we are allowed to speak to, are those who know about the dimensions and know of our arrival.
Rule number 5: Never enter or traverse 'The Space between' without Serenity or someone with the ability to open portals to guide you.
Rule number 6: Never speak about anything from other dimensions to anyone that isn't one of us. Ex: games, movies, history, ect.
"We should be greeted by someone by the name of Shinato in the first dimension we come across. According to Dreamurr, Shinato lives in a world where its plant life is sentient. He is among those sentient plant beings." Rhin said as he looked at his soul mate.
"A centar-like being made of wood and grass. His horse body is made of leaves instead of fur, and his soul mate is a humanoid bird." Nizhoni said.
"A hummingbird to be more precise." Serenity said.
"Our mission is to search the different worlds for the missing pieces of the Diamond Sphere. We have two of the pieces so far, and all together, there should be about fourteen." Hopi said.
"I'm sure you are aware that long ago, the dimensions used to be one, governed by the gods and goddesses, but they argued so much that there were always wars. Our dimensions' god and goddess made the decision to separate their dimension into many, each governed by their own god or goddess. They created the Diamond Sphere so that no one would try to turn all dimensions into one again. That is what Satan wants." Rhin explained.
"He was once one of those gods that refused to split their world, but now, he is just a fallen who wants his son to rule...and to make you his son's bride." Hopi said as he looked away in anger.
"But why would he want me to be his son's bride?" She asked.
Rhin looked at Hopi, then at Nizhoni and smiled. "That is something we'll have to explain another time. Right now we should hurry and get to Shinato's dimension and find their piece of the sphere, before time runs out." He said.
"Do we know where their piece is?" She asked.
"Apparently it's inside their world, we just have to find out where. He said that if we remove it by force, then all plant life will slowly die in their world." Serenity explained.
"We'll need to figure out where exactly it is and find a way to get it without hurting the plant beings." Hopi said as he looked down in thought.
"It was rumored that only the gods and their descendants can even touch the pieces. But we don't know if that's true or not." Rhin said.
"For all we know, anyone and everyone can touch them." Hopi said.
"Some believe the rumor, while others don't. But only those like us know of the diamond sphere and of the dimensions." Serenity said. She looked towards the mountains and held out her hand. A small sphere of light appeared in front of her before it opened into a portal. "Now, Let's say we get to Shinato's world and get this mission started. Shall we?" She said as she smiled.
Hopi and Rhinarazamat looked at Nizhoni and smiled and bowed, gesturing to the portal. "Ladies first." They said at the same time.
She smirked. "Such Gentlemen." She said in a teasing tone before walking into the portal.
"You guys go next, I have to be the last one in so that I can close the portal behind us." She said.
Rhin jumps right into the portal. "We have a friend whose ability is to determine where the dimensions are, then he tells Dreamurr the location and he tells Serenity here." He said as he looked back at him. He sees Hopi walk into the portal, followed by Serenity, closing the portal behind her.
"According to him, we need to take a white door with green butterflies and vines on it. That will take us to Shinato's dimension." She said as the white around them disappeared, revealing a galaxy with hundreds upon millions of doors of different shapes, sizes, and colors floating around them. Hopi and Nizhoni looked around in amazement.
"Oh, That's right! This is your first time traveling in 'The Space Between.' Pretty cool isn't it." Rhin said as he smiled.
"Cool is an understatement! This is AMAZING!" She said as her eyes sparkled.
"Every star you see is actually a door that leads to a different dimension. No one knows just how many are out there exactly. Basically think of the space between as another outer space, only with a breathable atmosphere." Serenity said.
"So every star is a door? But wait, then how did you come to ours?" Hopi asked as he turned to Serenity.
She looks at him with her arms crossed and a raised eyebrow. "You seriously asked that, Hopi?" She sighs then points behind her with her thumb. "Through your door, duh." She said. The door was brown and red with native american images in black on the brown and a single word, written in all different languages in white, swirling towards the middle of the door. "As I told you, every dimension has a door. Even yours and ours, even though in our worlds we cannot see them."
"But just because we cannot see our dimensions' doors, doesn't mean they aren't there. Most of us can't see them. But there are a precious few of us in all of the dimensions that have the ability to see them. We call them 'Spacers.' Shinato is one of those spacers." He said.
"So, what door are we looking for?" Nizhoni asked as she looked towards Serenity and smiled.
"A White door with green butterflies and vines." She said.
"Alright then. Let's split up and look for that door." She said happily.
"It's not a good idea to split up in this place. Just as there are guardians that protect our worlds. There's something here that protects the doors." Rhin said as he looked at her and Hopi with a serious expression.
"Depending on which door we need, hopefully the guardian will grant us a path that can lead us to that door. That way we won't get lost." Serenity said.
"Do you know what this guardian looks like?" Hopi asked.
"Unfortunately, no one knows what the guardian looks like, nor where it hides. Not even Dreamurr knows." She said.
"Who's Dreamurr?" Nizhoni asked.
"He's a dream dragon from our dimension. When he sleeps, he's able to travel to other dimensions as well as be able to enter the dreams of those who know. That's how we're able to communicate with him." Rhinarazamat said.
"That and his Soul Mate is a woman from our dimension. I believe you work with her, Palila." Hopi said.
"Speaking of which, he must be having a dream right now. There's his astral form now." Rhin said as he pointed at a large, transparent blue and white dragon with light purple, cloud-like fur around his claws. "I wonder where he's going now."
"And I wonder how he can travel around here, without the use of a guardian path no less." Hopi said.
"A guardian path?" Nizhoni said questionably.
"A sparkling silver road created by the guardian that guides us to where we're supposed to go. Though I remember him telling me that when he's here, it's as if something is pulling him towards where he needs to be in his dreams." Rhin said.
"Well he is our communicator between us. But it's not just him that has that ability. There's always at least one species in every dimension that has the same ability as him." Serenity said.
"I think Shinato's husband has that ability." Hopi said.
"How are we going to get to his world without the guardian path?" Nizhoni asked.
"We can't go anywhere without the guardian path, so until one appears before us, we're stuck here." Rhinarazamat said.
"Once one appears, we'll follow it by flying. Since you two don't have wings, Rhin and I will have to help guide you, just so that the two of you won't get lost." Serenity said. She looks at Hopi in a teasing tone.
"You don't need to hold our hands mom." He said in annoyance as he crossed his arms. She giggled. "We'll just hold on to your tails." He smiled menacingly.
"Grab our tails and I'll claw your eyes out." She said as she glared at him.
"Claw our eyes out and you'll go blind as well." He said.
"Okay you two, enough arguing. We need to find a guardian path." Rhin said as he split the two soul mates up.
"Is that a path over there?" Nizhoni asked as she pointed towards a sparkling silver line leading father down into space.
"I do believe that IS a guardian path, my dear Zoni." He said as he smiled.
She glares at him. "You don't need to make a 'Sherlock Holmes' joke about it." She told him.
"What's a 'Sherlock Holmes'?" Serenity asked as she looked at Hopi. He just shrugged.
"My friend Chora lives in a dimension where they have this awesome mystery series about a detective and his sidekick." Rhin said.
"And he tells me all sorts of stories about this detective." Nizhoni said in annoyance.
"Hey don't knock it till you try it." He said as he smiled proudly.
"Just make sure to keep it on the downlow since our dimensions don't have-...Whatever it is you're talking about." Serenity said.
"I know I know. If word gets out about anything that isn't a part of our dimensions or things from our dimensions get out in other dimensions where they don't exist, we'll be dealing with the gods of time and space." He said.
"And we don't want to piss them off now do we." Hopi said.
"Hey guys It looks like this path is leading us to that door over there." Nizhoni said as she pointed towards a door with vines and green butterflies.
"That's the one. Let's go guys." Serenity said as they floated towards the door.
