I overestimated my ability a little, it took me 8 months rather than 6 to collect enough Energy to devour the rest of the world.
There were only a few annoying people who came to look why part of the world was disappearing; all but 1 left after satisfying their curiosity.
The one that stayed too long and asked too many questions became a pancake on the ground, and I went back to my work.
I kept checking the magic tower since that was still my job, but Elaria took care of most of that.
I was sitting on the throne with Lila while she looked a little bored, and I was ready to go now.
"I'm ready to do something else; Nyla is also at the Soul Transformation realm now. Should we go to Alfheim now? We can no longer get stronger here, so unless there is somewhere you want to go, there isn't really anything to do."
She hummed, "Let's go, right away."
[Quest: Copy the secret magic tomes in Alfheim
Reward: Book of Magic Enchantments and Artifact Inscriptions]
I called the other girls back.
"We're going to Alfheim now to get their books on magic; they are probably going to try and stop us. That being the case, Elaria, do you want to come or stay?"
I don't know how attached she is to the elves, and she's going to see them die if she comes and they try to stop us.
"Master, I'll definitely go I have no attachments to them."
"Alright, please teleport us to Alfheim. I don't know where to teleport to."
"Yes Master, I'll teleport straight to the capital."
Lila and I stood up and moved closer. Our surroundings changed, and I saw a forest around us; the buildings among the trees were made of plants and trees woven together.
They looked nice, and some were quite big, like the size of regular brick and wood homes.
There were several elves looking curiously at us; the other races usually never visit Alfheim, especially not this far in.
"Master, the palace is this way."
She made a motion in the north direction, and we started moving towards it, Lila and I leading the way.
We reached a gate where a guard stopped us, looking slightly annoyed and thought he was someone important, "You are not allowed further. Go another way."
Lila spoke up, "I'm the new monarch of Beastholm here to visit your king."
"Lady, you are not allowed further."
"So you're not going to let me in?"
"No, now go somewhere else, or I'm going to assume you're trespassing I'm giving you great courtesy by telling you a second time."
"Hm, ok then."
He instantly turned to ash, and the young guard standing next to the gate freaked out, fumbling with his communication artifact.
Lila walked up to him while he was trying to activate it, "Are you going to tell someone I'm here to meet your king, or are you going to send me away also?"
He nodded his head and finally activated the artifact, nervously telling the person on the other end who was here.
He opened the gate and let us in, letting out a sigh of relief after we passed through.
I heard him tell the person on the other end about the ash pile on the ground after he thought we were out of earshot.
We were met by another elf wearing fancy-looking armor; he introduced himself, "Welcome to Alfheim, Your Majesty. I am Advisor Marrow, at your service. Allow me to escort you to King Thalorian's presence."
Lila gave a sharp nod, and we followed him into another room where there was a table with the elf king sitting at one end.
Lila sat at the opposite, and I sat next to her while the other 3 stood behind. The adviser went and stood behind his king.
"Welcome to Alfheim; I apologize for the foolish guard who offended you."
"He can't do it again, so I won't hold it against anyone."
"I appreciate that. Would you mind sharing, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"
Lila didn't bother asking permission and simply said what we were going to do, "We are here to copy all the good magic books in Alfheim. Would you please show us where we can find them?"
He looked slightly annoyed, "If you mean the magic tower, I will have someone show you the location but you'll have to work it out with them. I cannot give you the secret belonging to the palace."
"And what would I have to do for you to agree to show me?"
"You can't do anything."
She hummed, "So what if the palace falls to another ruler? Would I get shown then?"
He narrowed his eyes, "I suggest you think again about your response."
"I'm talking to you because it's fun to play, but I'm getting bored. Where are the books?"
He made a small motion to the adviser behind his back, and the adviser activated an artifact.
Several guards, including what looked to be 2 high-level mages, came into the room, and he spoke again, "I'm going to have to ask you to leave; you are no longer welcome in Alfheim."
"Ok, we'll do it your way."
The heads fell off the guards who just entered the room, and the king shot to his feet furious, "You dare!"
He cast 2 wind blades at us in quick succession; in the close space, it would be impossible to avoid.
Boom! Boom!
They crashed into the shield in front of us as we still sat at the table. A small crack appeared, but it was repaired almost immediately.
Lila spoke again nonchalantly, "So would you like to take us to where you keep your magic books?"
He looked at the shield in horror. 2 wind blades that close together from a 10th circle mage should break any shield cast by a single person and possibly kill the people behind.
He wasn't entirely stupid and decided the price of their secret books was worth keeping his race alive.
There would be no point to everyone dying and not even protecting what they were trying to.
He gritted his teeth, "Fine, I'll take you to them."
He led us through the palace, down several flights of stairs, and into a secret room where there were many shelves of magic tomes.
I started going along touching the spines of them while Kitty added them to the shop.
The elf king stood by the door staring at me with an ugly expression.
[Congratulations! The quest reward has been delivered to the inventory]
It didn't take long for me to finish, and we exited the room, going back the way we came. When we reached the exit of the palace, Lila turned around and waved to the king, "Thank you for your help."
"Please don't come again."
We teleported back to the palace, and I opened the door to my private world.
Even though it had been years for me, I only let about 2 months pass for Luna before I realized it was pointless for her to cultivate with the methods she had as they were horrible compared to the ones Kitty gave me.
I looked at Lila, "Well, let's go in; I'll introduce you to Luna."
"I'm excited to meet her."
I inscribed the language Luna spoke on a jade slip and passed it around, now they were as fluent in it as a native speaker.
I led everyone through the door, and we ended up inside my world.
Luna seemed to know I had come back and ran out of the house.
I held my arms out for a hug, bracing myself so I don't fall over.
She ran closer and ducked under my arm, and I heard her excited squeal right behind me, "Ohhh, it's so cute!!!"
Is there really something more important than me???
I stood frozen, doubting myself and wondering when I'd become invisible for a second before turning around.
I saw Luna with her left arm around Lila's head smashing Lila's face into her breasts, while she was petting her ears with the hand.
Lila didn't miss a beat, bringing her hands up on the sides of Luna's twin moons, pressing them harder against her cheeks.
Her tone mimicked Luna, albeit a bit muffled, "Ohhh, it's so soft and squishy!!!"
Luna's petting motions froze, her face turned crimson, and she tried to let go while stepping back.
Lila didn't let her go through and stuck to her like glue; she tripped and fell onto her back, Lila following her to the ground, now laying on top.
"I found my new pillow."
Lila made snoring sounds while Luna looked mortified and unsure what to do, finally settling on covering her face in embarrassment and telling her to get off, "Please get off, I won't rub your ears again, I'm sorry."
Lila grabbed one of Luna's hands placing it on her ears again, "Oh no, you can rub my ears. I like it."
"T-Then I won't unless you get off."
Lila rolled off while keeping Luna's hand on her head, "Ok, you can touch them now."
