"--want him to work for me! Of course, as his family, you can move to the mansion too."
Corvin woke up on his bed. He could hear someone speaking from the living room. He got out of the bed and walked out of his room.
Creaaak
He saw a man in expensive clothes and his parents talking. He looked at his parents, and gave a guilty smile.
"Didn't you say you weren't going to fight it, Mr. Corvin?", said his mother with a scary smile.
"Am I a stranger now?!"
"I wonder? Go back to your room and think about your actions. Then talk to me."
His mother refused to talk to him. When he looked at his father for help, all he got was a "Yo-your mother is right." said under heavy pressure from his mother.
"Actually, can he come for a bit? I have some questions to ask to him. He can recieve punishment later if you want."
"Okay, then. Sit down Mr. Corvin."
Corvin sat down after getting the okay from his mother. Corvin sat next to his dad.
"So, Corvin, who taught you magic?"
"It's self learnt."
"Oohh, very nice. And, how did you knew that thing was going to come?"
"Actually, I don't know why I could learn it too."
"What do you mean?"
"I can't explain, since I don't exactly know what I saw was too. All I know is that in the near future, I might be able to know."
"We have to wait, huh? And, last question, do you want to work for me?"
"-! Work?"
"You are the same age as my son, Noah, right? He is going to get advanced education, I want you to be his right-hand man and bodyguard. Not many people are as talented as you to learn magic on their own and be able to fight monsters at your age. Of course, you will be getting education there too. And also I will take you as my disciple, and teach you how to fight."
It took Corvin some seconds to process what he just said. When he understood what he meant, he shot up from his seat with excitement.
"I can? No, please let me! Oh, but my family..."
"They can also come and live with you in the mansion if they want."
Corvin turned towards his parents.
"Do you want to come..?"
"Actually we might not be able to...", said his mother and rubbed her belly with a happy expression.
"Hm? Don't tell me mom?!"
"Yes. I may be pregnant. So we will stay here and raise your sibling."
"Why didn't you tell me this before?"
"We were going to, but you told us to leave the village."
"Oh... I messed your surprise up, is that why you are mad?"
"Or maybe it's because you almost died, who knows?", said his mother curtly.
"Ugh.. I am sorry for lying, okay?", said Corvin and turned to Felyp.
"Then, I will come by myself. But I want to be able to come home once in a while."
"Of course, you will be mostly free outside of school and training hours. We will send some money to your family as well."
"Then, may I work for you Margrave Felyp?"
"Haha, don't be so formal. Of course you can, I want you to work for me."
"Thank you sir!"
They talked about the details and then Felyp left.

A week later, Corvin moved to the margrave's mansion after parting ways with his parents.
He spent a week getting used to the new environment, buying new clothes and playing with Noah and Bella.
Now it was time for training.
Felyp was standing in front of him with an imposing aura. He was holding a wooden sword.
"Tell me Corvin. What will you use your sword for after graduation? Is it for power?"
Corvin thought for a second and asked.
"Can I be honest?"
"Sure."
"I am learning this so that I can work for the Margrave and have connections with nobles as his disciple. I will need connections for my dreams."
"Tch."
"Eh? Did I say something wrong?"
"It makes too much sense. Aren't kids like you supposed to say 'for justice' or whatever? That's how it used to be like back in my day. For that precociousness, I need to beat you up."
"Huh? Don't you just want to beat me up?"
Hwack
"Of course not. I am not unreasonable. I just think you need to act your age, it's for your own good.", said Felyp while hitting Corvin's legs. He was so fast that Corvin couldn't react in time.
Hwack
Hwack
"I think you are being really unreasonable right no- Ugeh!"
Hwack
Felyp hit his head this time.
"Don't talk like that to your master, youngling."
And his training continued like that.

2 months later.
"Corvin! Come and look at this quickly! I can't believe it!"
'Huh?'
Suddenly, Noah called Corvin to his room. Noah was unusually excited.
"What happened Noah?"
"Look at this! Isn't this painting moving?"
"What are you talking abo- Eh?"
"See, I told you didn't I?"
What Noah showed to Corvin was a painting he made as his hobby. It was the painting of a peaceful wheat farm. The thing is, the plants were swinging left to right calmly. Like a wind was blowing in the painting.
"How did you do this?"
"I don't know, I was painting it while thinking that the field was windy. When I finished it, the wind was real."
"Wait... Uuuhh, Noah."
"Yes?"
"You are using magic. Creative magic at that. Do you know how rare that is?"
"Eh? Huh? HUUH? I AM USING MAGIC?!?!"
Noah was too surprised.
"Why are you so surp- .... Don't tell me you didn't realized it was magic..."
Noah just averted his gaze and blushed slightly.
'This guy...'
"You really are an idiot aren't you?"
"HEY! That's my sentence!"
"What do you mean my sentence? Did you invent the language?"
And this back and forth continued for a while. Later that day, Noah told his father about his creative magic talent.
After learning his son had rare talent in magic, he increased Corvin's training schedule. Corvin wished he never told Noah it was magic.
*****
A year after Corvin moved to the mansion.
"Good luck boys! Don't play with girls too much and pay attention to class okay?", said Felyp.
"You are talking unnecessarily dad!", answered Noah from the carriage.
Corvin and Noah were 15 years old now, old enough to get advanced education. Felyp sent them to the best school of the Empire, of course.
Altus Institute. The center of science and arts in the empire located in the outskirts of the imperial capital Alaturb. It houses one of the best teachers and tools to help student education in the Contavi continent. Most bright minds that improved the empire came out of this place.
It is the best education Corvin could get in his life.
