Faye felt waves and waves of pain on her face- Maria really hit her hard, so hard that she could barely stand there in one piece at that moment with a strong sense of shame and shock that this was even happening.
Maria seemed to have known this place too well, she took Faye directly to her room and closed the door behind her hard.

Faye ran into the bathroom to splash some water on her face, forcing herself to stop crying- she did not want to cry in front of anyone, not even Maria.
