"I didn't introduce myself properly to you because I wanted to see if we would hit it off at first."
Beth explained to Sebastian when he was back in the room with the stylist to show his suits to Lynn.
"I don't blame you," Sebastian said to Beth, knowing that her father's identity wouldn't have changed how he treated Beth.
"Sebastian has been a fine young man," Beth said to Lynn, "he tried to keep such a professional distance from me. That is the kind of husband that I am looking for, you know, the kind that won't be taken by another woman." She grinned as if she was choosing a puppy from the pet store.
Sebastian felt a deep twitch in his stomach as if he was going to get sick- Lynn got rid of Jen out of the blue, this must be the reason why.
He didn't know how to deal with this situation since Jen never briefed him about this- maybe he should start shouting Jen's name to declare his love for her. But that seemed too dramatic.
