Sebastian wasn't going to sleep any time soon.
He was sitting in the living room, worrying for Jen, and confused by his mixed feelings:
He was just warming up to Lynn after all those years of being apart, but he now completely trusted Victor that Lynn was up to something;
He felt embarrassed that he got Jen involved in this unpleasant situation but at the same time, he was weirded out by how both Victor and Jen were withholding information from him.
"I didn't even know her name was Jenna, not Jennifer."
In Sebastian's defense, Jen was very secretive about her past and she did introduce herself as JEN, just Jen, nothing else.
The night was getting late, the lady who stayed to help, whose name is Lucy, had already said goodnight to Sebastian, but he was not going to sleep without knowing how Jen and Luna were doing.
He tried to text and call her, but Jen didn't answer him.
"Maybe she is busy taking care of Luna." Sebastian thought, forcing himself to stop thinking of the horrible situations that Jen could be in.
He didn't expect himself to develop such strong connections with Jen within a short amount of time- he worries for her, he cheers up at her sight, and he wants to be around her more often.
Now that Jen agreed to be his fake "girlfriend" until Victor could give her an answer, Sebastian would also have more chances to see Jen.
Sebastian couldn't help but wonder what would come out of this contract- would Jen fall for him for real and maybe they would make the best out of the situation? Or maybe she would be tired of all the drama and leave him and YD for good.
Ring-ring.
Sebastian's phone started buzzing, it was Jen.
"Finally," Sebastian thought to himself, "Hello? Jen, are you alright? How is Luna?"
"Hey, Sebastian," A strange man's voice answered him, "She is good but could you text me the address of her new place because I wanted to order her a taxi but she said she moved. With you."
Sebastian recognized that it was Tim's voice, what was he doing there?
"Sure, I will send that in the group chat. But why can't Jen type it in herself? Where is she?"
"Oh, she's a little, sleepy." Tim answered, "I will make sure she gets there safely."
"Thank you... Wait, how about you just wait there, and I will go pick her up. Where are you now?"
Seeing the address Tim sent over, Sebastian's heart sank- oh no, this is going to be a long night.
By the time he finally got Jen into the car, it was close to 3 am. Tim seemed equally confused about the situation, and Luna was on the ground when Sebastian got there, refusing to let anyone help her.
"Jeeeen. Where you are taking my baby!!" She screamed at Sebastian when he tried to hold Jen's shoulders.
"Oh, Boss Se-se? Is that you? You can take her, I guess, she said she is YOURS now." Luna couldn't control her volume, luckily it was so late that not a lot of people were nearby.
"Why did you drink so much?" Sebastian cracked open the window, and let Jen lean against him in the car, "I thought you were just helping Luna."
Jen didn't answer, but she crinkled her nose when the chilly wind blew on her forehead.
"Oh, sorry, I thought you might wanted some fresh air." Sebastian reached over to close the window on her side before Jen got sick from the wind, but all of a sudden, she opened her eyes and grabbed him by his collar-
"Sebastian. Hey. Why are you here?" Jen asked, her breath full of the smell of alcohol, "You also sad?"
"No, Jen, I am taking you home. Are you feeling okay?" Sebastian wanted to get her to let go of his collar, but he didn't want to hurt her hand, so he just let her grab him as if he were a little bird.
"Yeah. Why not, I have a boyfriend now." Jen closed her eyes again, her cheeks were red like an apple, "He is cool but his family is full of jerks."
"How much did you drink?" Sebastian was surprised that Jen addressed him as her "boyfriend", even though he wasn't sure if she was being sarcastic.
"Not much. Luna said that the drinks were really tasty, so I went back with her. I needed it." Jen's hand relaxed and let go of his collar, reached behind his neck, and was then completely hanging on top of him.
"My boyfriend is cute. But he is so young. Wow, I will pretend to date a child."
Jen's words were kinda funny, Sebastian could see from the reflection that their driver was almost breaking his character.
"We will be inside soon, we will talk when you wake up in the morning. It will be fine." Sebastian was overwhelmed by the amount of physical contact he had been having these couple of days- he was never the touchy kind.
Probably also because he grew up without his family around, but he was never a big hugger. But now with Jen's arms wrapped around his neck, he felt an odd sense of comfort- at least she was okay.
Getting Jen into the house was easier than Sebastian imagined- Lucy had already helped them open the door and prepared a cup of honey water for Jen. Jen was pretty much asleep in his arms, so Sebastian just carried her in.
"Lucy," Sebastian asked, "Which room is for Jen again?"
"Mr. Day, Ms. Jen's room isn't quite ready yet, but I can quickly prepare the guest room for her."
"Don't worry about it, Lucy. Have some rest." Sebastian was not going to let Jen sleep in the guest room- although Victor's guest room looks fancier than a 5-star hotel.
"Jen, you can sleep in my room tonight, I will sit next to the bed to make sure you don't throw up and choke yourself." Sebastian knew Jen was not going to respond, but he wanted to say it out loud anyway.
Sebastian's legs were getting soft after carrying Jen up to the second floor- he had just recovered not long ago.
When he could finally put her down on his bed, Jen's hands were locked on his neck, and wouldn't let go.
"Jen. Jen?" Sebastian whispered, "Come on, you need to let go, so you can sleep."
Sebastian reached over to Jen's hands, and gently patted her, "Come on, loose."
"I am not a dog," Jen murmured.
Inside of letting go, she pulled on his neck with all the strength that she had- Sebastian was half-kneeing on the bed, putting her down. But now, he was almost on top of Jen, being locked close to her.
"Much better," Jen said with a smile of victory, while Sebastian was held like one of her stuffed toys.
"Jen..." Sebastian was amused by the situation but didn't know how to react.
Jen seemed to be very happy with this arrangement, her breathing was getting heavier, and Sebastian also stopped fighting this.
"Oh, who cares," Sebastian thought, "I will stay like this, as long as she is happy."
