What lie ? What was she referring to? No one had an idea. Everyone was curious and now she got everyone's attention. At this moment Allison also thought abut her own lie. not entirely a lie but the fact that she kept a big secret from her parents.
Allison being the smartest in the family , well everyone believes she got after her dad after all he was a very famous scientist, she was able to already fit some puzzles on her own.
" Mom , is this about your background ?" She voiced out aloud. With a shock expression which she quickly covered and replaced it with blank and emotionless expression on her face. " Yes it is." She composed herself and that's when she started narrating the part of her life which was the biggest secret she has ever held.
30 YEARS AGO.
" Please … don't!!!!" A grey eyed girl crying while surrounded by fire. The kind of fire never seen before. It was fierce and untamed. Several red heads surrounded raising their hands but nothing happened.
The grey eyed girl was had several pairs of purple eyes trained on her with disgust, some with fear while others with hatred. She raised her hands forward and seemingly the fire seemed to be at her command ,surging forward towards the red heads who moved back in unnatural speed. A lifeless body lying beside the grey eyed girl.
" The curse!!! .. We have been cursed!!" Shouted an elderly man with an overgrown beard which was as white as snow. The mob getting frightened as everyone ran helter skelter while the rest went to take the refuge of their houses waiting for whatever it is that it is to bestowed upon them.
" KILL HER!! " Roared a deep voice from a man in his early forties cladded in a robe as purple as his eyes with a huge crown settling on his head adorned in pearls and diamonds. He was well built with a fit physique and muscles bulging from his royal robe. with a tanned skin and smooth beard. He was huge and intimidating but his eyes held a different story. With the command the man left the commotion in large strides.
PRESENT TIME
All the memories flashed across her eyes reopening old wounds as she felt the pain as if it were yesterday. With all the memories flooding she only explained it in short story. " Beacon town was once my home . " That was all she could say. No one looked deep into it and all thought that as she was an orphan as she claimed then maybe she had a painful past with the place which made her emotional .
Things did not settle well with Allison she knew there was story behind this sudden burst. Her mother held some other emotions in her eyes... Pain , fear anger hatred and love. She knew her mother was in a conflict within herself. As much as she was eager for the shifting into the so called mysterious place but not eager enough to see her mother in pain.
Allison tried reasoning with her dad about re considering shifting back if her mother was not comfortable, but her father could hear none of it. " face your fear to overcome it ." He replied as he went forward to knock on the huge rusty gate.
Mrs. Argent agreed but on one condition .. no one was allowed to mention it again to any one that she was from Beacon town. She also warned them from getting anywhere close to a any elderly men in gold robes and white beards.
With everything in mind they moved and continuously knocked on the rusty gate. Allison felt a chill run down her spine when her mother gave the warning about the elderly men she felt her mother's intense stare on her.
Alas !! the huge gate seemed to move with a screeching sound. Two gigantic men were seen to move the big gate on either side effortlessly. Though old the gate looked heavy with rough hinges which would surely have it become hard to move.
Apart from their muscular and tanned bodies they had peculiar which both seemed to have leaving the family of four to have their jaws dropping at the sight infront of them. Who the hell were these people!!
Susan was used to seeing the purple eyes and the last memories she had of them were the same eyes filled with hatred towards her. She wondered why they gates were opened while she was positive they would not. The town really valued their privacy so why would they now reveal their eye colour .
" What is it that you want strangers?" the shorter one of them said.
" We are the new family registered to you, The Argents. " Steven said.
Yh you heard it right. One had to register before getting getting a permit to enter the town.
" Yh get in then." they replied rather rudely. They were roughly ushered in with no care in the worlds. All they could see inside was dense forest and a quiet and dark path which the guards at the gates pointed out to them. No vehicle was allowed beyond the gates , Steve was shown where to park their car. `
They had to take the only path available and at the end they saw a stall like stand with two ladies who seemed to be in their teenager phase. They got frisked and had their documents checked and well their technological devices taken away from them with the excuse that ..' We do not want the western technology to cultivate its way through our cultures and taint it.'
They heard of it but now that it was happening they felt a pang of pain in them. Them parting with their devices was a tough situation as they were used to the town life. As tough as it was , they had no choice but to do it . Their names and information were taken and they were shown a small wooded door through the door.
