All day long, Krystal was busy. During lunch break, she didn't head out with Felix like she used to but tagged along with Carly and Todd. Felix on the other hand did not take the lunch break. He had his mind seriously occupied and decided to invest his time on his work.
"I'm here!" Quinella announced, opening the doors wide and walked in.
"Great, come and..." Krystal's words got stuck to her tongue when she saw a boy walking in from behind Quinella. "My, my, my. He's more handsome than in the photos." She said to herself.
"Take a seat. I assure you that you'd love the cupcakes." She said to him. "I'll be right back." She smiled before walking up to the counter. "I'm gonna go get changed." She looked at Krystal and smiled.
Krystal walked up to where the boy was sitting and dropped a plate of sliced raspberry pie on the table.
"I didn't order this." Tiwen said before looking up.
"Don't worry. It's on the house!" She winked but he still looked confused. "Take it as, 'my girlfriend's sister is very generous and gave me a free pie'." She pointed out.
"Oh, you're Quin's sister?" He asked on realization.
"Yeah." She said and he got up.
"I'm sorry but I didn't see the resemblance at all. Please, nice to meet you." He said extending his hand for a handshake and she accepted.
"You too." She said smiling but at the next second that smile looked somewhat deadly. "Treat my sister well, okay?" She let go.
"I will!" He nodded, already feeling anxious.
"Krystal, you're making him feel like a criminal." Quinella said coming from behind with a tray of vanilla flavoured cupcakes with cherries on top. "Try them, most are made by my brother."
"Oh, I see it's a family job." He said, nodding his head.
"More like survival job." Krystal muttered but it was loud enough for both of them to hear and they laughed. Quinella seemed to have forgotten something, so she palmed her face.
"Where are my manners? I haven't properly introduced you guys." She said. "Krystal, this is my boyfriend, Tiwen, and Tiwen, this is my elder sister Krystal." She introduced and looked at the kitchen area. "My brother Felix is in the kitchen but you'd probably not want to meet him." She said.
"Oh!" Tiwen exclaimed understanding perfectly.
"Um, Krystal, Tiwen's taking me to the movies tonight, can I go?"
"Well, of course you can..." Krystal paused and realized something. "... You wanna leave me alone with your brother?" She asked with wide eyes.
"Well, he's your brother too." Quinella pouted her lips and Krystal sighed.
"Fine! You guys can go watch your movie." She shook her head restlessly.
At the end of the day, the shop closed and everyone was getting ready to go home. Krystal was busy surfing the internet when Justin arrived. She looked up and met eyes with him. She hadn't seen him since yesterday and wondered if he was doing okay. She walked towards him.
Justin watched as Krystal walked towards him. She was wearing blue frame glasses.
"How are you doing now?" Krystal asked, seeing that they had already removed the bandage.
"I'm okay."
"By any chance, did you see my glasses in the hospital before leaving? I think I dropped it by accident." She inquired.
Justin put his hand in his pocket wanting to take it out but stopped midway. He didn't want to give her.
"No." He lied and she nodded.
"Alright then." She wanted to turn but didn't. "Can I have your phone number now?" She requested.
"What for?" He asked.
"Well, you'd never know when it'll come in handy. I can call you." She said.
"You don't need to call me." He blurted out bluntly.
"Oh please, please, please, please?" She pleaded in a cute way that he found completely irresistible.
"Fine! But don't call me for unnecessary reasons." He said snatching her phone away from her. He typed his phone number in it and stored it. She took back her phone and saw what he stored and smiled. "Don't think too much. I don't want my name in your phone so I used that."
"Doesn't matter!" She shook her head and called the line just in case. His phone rang and she confirmed that it was a real number.
"Was that necessary?" He asked not she simply stuck out her tongue.
Felix watched from the side. He was sad in a way. Although Krystal had forgiven him, she had not said a single word to him since that morning.
They both walked past each other like they were total strangers. But now, she was talking to that boy so freely and happily. When would she throw a glance at him?
"Hey, can you give me a ride?" Krystal asked Justin.
"No!" He refused harshly.
"Please?" She pleaded revealing a set of puppy eyes under those blue frame glasses. Justin could not resist, he could only look away and said,
"What about your siblings?" He asked.
"Well, Quinella went out with her boyfriend." Krystal said.
"And Felix?"
