In a dark room, Chen slowly opened his eyes. And as he did, he instantly felt the need to scream. The pain in his limbs was so intense that he wanted to cry, but he couldn't. His mouth was taped over and he couldn't open it at all.
Hyperventilating, Chen tried recalling what happened. He remembered clearly that he had been beaten to a pulp by Lua Moonsilver, but he also remembered that he had passed out shortly after that incident. Now, he had been captured by the enemy, and had no idea how to leave.
I need to get out of here! He thought, the pain in his limbs making it hard to process thought. It seemed like it hadn't been long since he had passed out, judging by how he hadn't recovered at all.
Thanks to his descendancy, Chen had the ability of heightened regeneration. Although it couldn't resolve things such as missing limbs, it could heal things like broken bones. That did mean that given enough time, he would be back to his former condition.
