They arrived at the lake earlier the next morning. The journey there was relatively uneventful. They had actually been attacked twice by the demon-bears, but with Fren's overwhelming strength, Sol watched with horror as he defeated them with a single swipe of his spear. It truly made her feel worthless, especially when compared to Lua's struggle against the beasts.
Sol, now able to move to some extent, got off from the Jolin. She patted Secim's head and gave him one of the apple-like fruits that the Jolin seemed to enjoy. He ate it with no qualms, enjoying the delicious treat.
She limped over, wincing at every step, to the coast. The lake was extremely expansive, to the point Sol nearly couldn't see the other edge of it. The surrounding area was suspiciously flat, especially considering that one would expect the area surrounding a large mountain to be proportionally hilly.
