The Dragons were a type of legendary beast that roamed the different parts of the world. They possessed great intelligence that allowed them to lay traps and the like, making them very difficult to hunt. Beyond that, their sheer power alone was said to be enough to raze entire cities, demolish mountains and dominate the plains.
There were various different types of dragons. These types of dragons varied from which element they dominated. For example, one of them was a ground dragon. This dragon lacked the ability to fly, but made up for it with its incredible ability to traverse the land. It could dig faster than any mole, terraform the land around it to fit its will, and even create mountains on a whim. Most of the mountains in the Terra Incognita are attributed to this type of dragon.
