The large chimney of the train emitted large amounts of smoke as it prepared to depart. The train station was absolutely bustling with peoples of all backgrounds present, but only few were actually heading to the harsh north. Amongst the possibly dozens of people here, only a handful would be making the journey.
The reason was simple, the north was too harsh and inhospitable for civilian life. Factories were few due to the scarcity of natural resources, farming was out of the question due to the hostile weather and poor quality soil, and fishing wasn't possible due to the waters being frozen nearly all year-round.
How do the citizens of Narva survive, then? That was an easy question to answer. Although most industries were dead, the ecosystem definitely was not. The local population was famed with their competency in creating above par quality fur clothing. This included the winter clothes currently in the hands of Lua.
