A young lady dressed in a midnight blue dress walked around with light steps on the deck of the steaming ship. She was currently travelling to the Northern Holy Kingdom, in the center of the continent of Atherim. Despite her noble appearance, she was only the youngest daughter of a Baron with waning influence in the Kingdom of Dernf. Her father had decided that the only way to increase his authority was to marry her off to some foreign noble.
This young lady was Cathrine of Cunabula, or as her close friends and family called her, Kate. Despite being a noble, she had been raised as if she was only mildly richer than the average citizen. This meant that compared to her nobility counterparts, she had been raised more in line with common values. She was not as arrogant as she could have been, had she been born into a richer family.
