Just as the ghost-man had ordered him to, Lua had been visiting him every day. During this time, he learned that he could enter the secret area within the walls simply by pushing on any of the walls. This proved to him that this entire hallway lead nowhere.
He also kept this a secret from his teammates. Although he knew that not trusting them with this was defying the very notion of their partnership, he felt that this was something that he needed to complete himself.
Lua had been seemingly making no progress on gaining his past self. Although they had been doing many exercises with the ghost-man, he didn't feel an inch closer. He couldn't help but feel that he was being tricked. But then again, since Sol had decided to trust the man, he was more than willing to do so.
