Lua arrived at his 'trapping location' and began his preperations. He laid the trap first, making sure it was configured properly with a few simple tests. The trap itself was nothing complicated, nor was it something that was unpredictable. However, to most animals, it would work just fine.
The trap was a large bear trap, to put it simply. Upon an animal pressing any of the pressure points, the trap would activate, killing whatever was inside instantly. It was larger than most animals with smaller rows of teeth in the middle, letting it kill animals of any size as long as they didn't breach the maximum.
If any animal dared to detect the trap and walk around it, Lua would do his best to scare the animal right back into it. The plan had backups, per usual. And so, the waiting game began. He watched for hours as multiple animals came by, but none of them dared to even approach it. That's when it hit Lua.
