To be more precise, the Pope wasn't doing the attacking - it was just her mere presence that caused Ars to be slowly crushed between her magnetic area and the ground below him. He fought desperately to free himself from this dilemma, but as he was exhausted beyond belief, he simply had as much effect as a child throwing a tantrum. To explain in short, there was no way he was breaking free from the Pope's control. At least, not after he tried to find the Pope's weakness and failed miserably.
She's a monster… Ars thought, trying to prevent himself from being crushed. Air escaped his lungs with each step the Pope took, but that didn't prevent him from thrashing for his freedom. How can someone maintain something like this for so long?
