Lua had created a small prototype, not intended for actual use. It comprised a few primary parts, such as a not-so-small furnace that burnt coal and heated water, and a steady supply of water that was made into steam by the boiled water. This steam then rose and spun the turbine. However, for some reason, the turbine wasn't spinning.
Lua tried to spin it with his hand, and that worked pretty well. So, he concluded that the water was simply far too little in volume for it to start spinning. He got up from where he sat and decided that this would be much more complicated than he had expected.
