Lua was silent. Despite being reprimanded, he didn't necessarily feel like he was. Instead, in his eyes, there was a clear sign of disinterest. He had succeeded in his mission and had additionally retained his sanity, so why was he being reprimanded? Perhaps their priorities were out of order.
He knew full well that these people wouldn't do anything to him. He had become the only thing they depended on for the war, and if they did something such as suspending him or executing him, it would only help to hurt them in the long run. Besides, who would execute a war hero?
