Chapter 30 - 30. Crystal Abyss

Viru took a stroll into the nature domain to take a look at the lake where the Kroken monsters were planning to settle. He had to come down in order to grant the right to establish the future Kroken settlement as a subdomain.

He named the entire place to be called as 'Mystic waters'. By that, this subdomain or the Kroken settlement will be named as the Mystic water domain.

Viru left the monsters and other workers to help the Kroken monsters to set up their domain. Since they didn't have any modern construction techniques, the domain was planned to be constructed with stones, clay, and other primary materials.

As Viru's work was done he moved on to the stone mine where the rhino settlement was planned to be built. Viru thought about what he wanted to name this mine. In the future he wanted this place to produce all kinds of rare ores and gems. So he decided to name it 'Crystal Abyss'.

Thinking about rare minerals, Viru remembered as he once caught sight of Voilus's staff. It had a sapphire-coloured gem placed at the head of it. He summoned Voilus to ask about his staff.

Voilus instantly appeared in front of Viru, answering his summon. Viru questioned the origin of Voilus's staff and especially the gem that was placed at the head.

Voilus explained that this stuff was passed down to him by the former village head. He unfortunately couldn't answer the question regarding its origin. But Voilus could definitely say that this gem actually helped him with his magic. The accuracy of the spells cast using this gem seemed to be higher.

Even though Viru couldn't clear his doubt about the origin, this sapphire seemed to be pretty rare, so he let Albus apprise the item for him.

Albus concluded that this gem was an elemental sapphire and it could assist a magic user to help them concentrate the flow of their attack spells. It also acted as an amplifier to increase the potency of the spells during casting. According to Albus's knowledge of the world outside this forest, this elemental gem is absolutely a rare mineral.

'Can you scan this gem and make it available in our crystal abyss?'

Asked viru as he wanted to produce more of it.

Albus confirmed that it can be produced in the mines as time passes. But this gem has to be sacrificed in order to do that.

Now it was the time for an important question,

'Would you give this elemental sapphire to me Voilus? I promise I'll get you a new one in a few days.'

Requested Viru.

Voilus agreed quickly without showing any signs of displeasure on his face. This made Viru truly admire how loyal his subordinates were to him.

Viru commanded Albus to take this gem as a sacrifice. Following his command, the gem levitated and dissolved in thin air as the information got stored in Albus's database. It was then transferred to the crystal abyss mine of the nature domain.

Albus informed Viru that, due to the rarity of this gem, very trace amounts of it will start appearing in the mines from now on. This amount will increase when the domain guardian or Viru evolves further.

Viru did the same procedure with the iron swords and other weapons that he picked up from the forest. They were successfully transferred to the data base of the crystal abyss.

Viru opened the resource list of the Crystal Abyss to check what else was in it.

*** Crystal Abyss ***

~Elemental Sapphire

~Iron

~Coal

~Stone (Forest varieties)

Viru found that there was coal on the list. Then he realized that coal is used to make iron swords sturdier. He can use coal for a lot of purposes. It can be used as an excellent source of fuel.

Several days passed as the construction of the subdomains came to an end. Viru's elite spent the days exploring the forest outside and also trained their skills to perfection. Perfect cohabitation was achieved as the races under Viru helped each other in various aspects.

As the mystic waters domain was finally finished, Viru appointed Voilus as the Key Guardian. This position of guardian made Voilus evolve into a more powerful monster. He looked more younger than he used to and his potential to become more powerful increased significantly. The monsters under Voilus also evolved into stronger foes. The combined strength of the current village could not be compared to their previous self.

The same evolutionary process was observed when Aslan was appointed as the guardian. His warriors evolved into monsters with more balance and strength. Viru's worries about defending the dungeon were instantly lessened after what he witnessed in both domains.

Aliya managed to evolve herself and unlocked her spear warrior class. Aliya, Aslan, voilus, and a few dozen monsters looked more like humans than monsters after their evolution.

Aslan unlocked his class as the Beast Tamer. A bunch of monsters under them unlocked several classes too.

Viru proposed that the evolved monsters who did not wish to fight, can move into the main hall and lead their life thereby involving themselves more in utility tasks such as administration, construction, resource gathering, and such. The evolved monster had higher intelligence. Some of them wished to contribute and develop their skills in other aspects.

Only combatants and soldiers who wanted to live in the domains were asked to protect the guardians. Even after Viru's proposal, most of the monsters wanted to stay in the domain. Families with children were the ones who volunteered to move into the main hall.

Due to the boost in reproductive rate in the dungeon, the unevolved monsters produced more monsters that were scattered all around the domain. They were monsters who didn't have enough intelligence to care about family and social duties. They would now serve as an additional level of difficulty for the invaders of the dungeon.

**** Dungeon invaders detected!!! ****

As Viru was observing the development of the dungeon from the main hall, out of the blue he got alerts from Albus informing him about dungeon invaders.

He asked Albus to immediately display the live scene to him. A blue screen appeared in front of him which had the video of three humans in front of the dungeon gate.

Viru informed all his guardians about the invaders as they were about to enter his dungeon.

According to the dungeon law, Viru had no authority to personally attack the dungeon invaders except for a few other special conditions. The subordinates were also not permitted to attack them without reason. Due to this, all Viru can do is, sit in the hall and observe the invaders.

Viru called back all of his elites to his chamber to observe the activities of the invaders. They all assembled behind Viru and took their seat.

The three people in front of the dungeon gate were two men and a woman. One of the guys was outfitted like a knight with heavy armour and a long wide sword on his back, while the other guy was apparently an archer. The woman had a slim sword on her back which resembled a rapier. They were wearing proper clothing with weapons and armor. It didn't look very striking but it was enough to cover them up and help them protect themselves against relatively powerful monsters.

'Is it a new dungeon? I've never heard about a dungeon being in a place like this.'

Said the woman with the rapier.

'It must be an undiscovered one! We can sell this information to the adventurer's Guild.' said the guy with the long sword.

'Yeah, that'll fetch us some decent money. Do you want to investigate this dungeon?'

Questioned the archer.

'We are probably the first ones here so, I say we explore it and get as much information as we can. We also have our dungeon resurrection crystals if something bad happens.'

Told the women with the rapier.

This sentence especially piqued Viru's interest. He immediately asked Albus what a dungeon resurrection crystal was.

Albus answered that the dungeon resurrection crystal was a rare item that allowed someone who had died inside a dungeon to revive outside the dungeon.

Viru was surprised after hearing about the presence of such an useful item. He also listened to Albus mention this item as a rare one.
