Midori's jaw dropped open.
"What...?? How come???"

Shuugo squeezed his hands together. He always did that when he was extremely nervous.
"Midori-chan, I understand that you and Arata-san went to the Matsumoto family's birthday party yesterday. Did... Did something happen?"
Well, a lot of things happened indeed. So many that Midori did not know where to start.
"I called Arata on my way back," Shuugo said. "Midori-chan, let's all sit together and talk about this issue."

Since it was an emergency, Arata asked to be excused early from his post.
