Eri sits there, looking around her once empty room, now filled with decorations, balloons, and gifts all around. She's stunned and could't fathom how one person could manage setting up all this so quick.
Awhile earlier...Eri looks at the invitation card as she can confirm it was hers. She looks back up and notices as the boy is looking around behind her. Her face droops a little assuming the boy might find her weird that no one was at the party.
"Awh, everyone left already, I'm sorry for being so late" as he takes his cap off and bows his head to her. Eri notices his aura, she can feel how regretful he was. Eri looks down at her feet and shakes her head. "No, you're not late" she said quietly, her voice a little shakey as she feels her heart sinks. "No one decided to come".
Eri feels her eyes water again, she tries to keep it in by biting her toungue so he doesn't notice her pain. The boy looks up and gives her a warm smile. "That's great then, i'll start preparing then" as turns and runs to a car nearby. Eri quickly wiped her eyes as she watches the guy take out stuff from inside the car.
She's in shock by all the stuff he brough for her birthday. She notices balloons, flowers, gifts, decorations of all sorts, and even a cake, she could't help but smile as she couldn't hide her tears anymore.
"No no, don't cry, i'll hurry and get these inside quickly" as the guy grabs a handful of stuff and starts hopping to the door. Eri tells him it's alright, and explains that she's just happy as she walks to the guy and takes some of the stuff off his hand.
"Phew, thank you for the hand, I felt my back giving out" as he leans back, stetching one arm out with grabbing his elbow with the other. He puts his hands on his hips and looks around. "Well it's time to get to work" he grins.
Eri sits on the couch as she watches the guy run around all over her leaving room. Putting balloons at the cornor of the room, signs and decorations on the wall. He sets the gifts at the front of the room, then places the cake on flowers on the table in front of her. "Happy birthday!" as he blows on the party horn and pops confetti in her face then placeing a party hat on her.
Eri was caught by surprised by how quick he got everything set up, her once empty room now filled with color, her eyes sparkles and she grins. "Your so cool" she says quietly out loud to herself, before covering her mouth not realizing she said that out loud. "Thank you, but your the cooliest person in the room today" as he walks around the table and sits behind the cake, her face flushed with emberresment.
The guy pulls out a pack of candles and opens it up, he looks at Eri, emberrassed. "Would you kindly remind me how many candles your turning" as he scratches the back of his head. Eri chuckles then tells him she was turning seventeen candles old, as he thanks her and places seventeen perfectly organized candles on the cake.
He takes the lighter on the table and lights up each candle one by one. As the cake gets brighter, she notices the writing on the late. Eri covered her mouth on the verge of tears, while laughing ti herseld, she reads the sloppy writing, "Sorry for being late, took longer then i thought to buy all of the decorations and gift, currently writing this while driving and hope that i don't crash, Happy 17th birthday Eri"
Eri was laughing about the majority of what was written and how he even manage to write all of that while driving. But she also found it heartwarming that he actually knew how old she was and notices that this was all an attempt to cheer her up and make her birthday better, and it was, it was getting much better with each passing second.
"Alright Eri as, get ready to blow out your candle and make a wish" as he holds hid phone in front of his face. Eri realizing he was recording a video, she got a little flustered and a little scared at the same time, remebering the picture the girl took of her. Buy as she reads his aura, she knows she has nothing to worry about as she blows out the candle and they start singing happy birthday.
"-happy birthday to youuuu~" as she finishes of her song smiling and giggling as the guy stood up and started applauding her performance. "You're a wonderful singer, Eri" he says truthfully, Eri hides her face again getting flustered from the remark. "Its time for the best part now, presents" as he flings hid arms up waving them side to side before picking up one of the presents and handing it to her.
Before she opened up the present she read on of the labels on it, "From Enyu, To, Eri" so that was his name, Enyu, she smiled, "Thank you Enyu, for coming to my birthday, you've made my day" she says quietly while looking at him. Enyu gives Eri a smile back, "Well, we're friends now, so this was the least i could do for your birthday!"
Friend, Eri thought, as she puts her head down onto the present. I finally made a friend, mom, dad. As she finally burst into tears from all the wonderful things that had happened to her today.
