…
"50 points, Ryuuen!"
Maybe he felt guilty for breaking the corn, so Ishizaki Daichi ran back at maximum speed, panting heavily.
"Our class's basic score of 300 points was deducted by 50 points."
"..." Ryuuen closed his eyes after hearing that, feeling quite upset.
"Oh shit! Change our base!" Ryuuen exclaimed, suddenly having a bad feeling.
"I have this nagging suspicion that Oreki is just looking to cooperate with Class D and asking them to provide supplies or something."
"That's a move Katsuragi would make at most," he continued.
"So, I doubt that Oreki Houtarou is using Katsuragi's method at all. That one is truly evil."
"Oh shit!" Ryuuen cursed again.
But the students in Class C didn't have time to care about whether he was polite or not because they were more concerned about the situation.
"This place has been swiped by Class D!"
"This place is also occupied by Class D."
"Don't enter their vegetable garden. Who knows if you will be deducted points again—"
If you get a lot of deductions, then it's not good.
"Why are you selling supplies to Class B?"
And according to the rules:
**Points will be deducted for staying too long without reason or using occupied territory. Points will also be deducted for people other than the team leader swiping the key card.**
However, they may still be deducted points if they stay in this base. So, they have to choose a safe base.
But:
"No… We've been walking for over an hour, and I haven't had a sip of water since I got off the boat," one student complained. "I need to go to the bathroom."
This is a small island, and there are no man-made toilets.
According to the rules:
**Physical discomfort or serious injuries, obvious environmental pollution, absence from class early or late, violence against other classes, or vandalism will all result in deductions.**
If you urinate or defecate anywhere, you will be deducted points.
"Then use the makeshift toilet that the school distributes for free," Ryuuen said.
The school provided some basic supplies: two tents, matches, sanitary napkins, sunscreen for girls, garbage bags, and a simple toilet.
So, what is a simple toilet? Cardboard and bags. Cardboard boxes and plastic bag films are used as coverings, and the excrement is put into bags with corresponding chemicals inside, which can quickly solidify and thus reduce odor and nausea.
However, this is equivalent to a diaper and can be reused. And there is only one temporary toilet, and all 40 people in the class have to take turns using it?
"…"
"No." The student took one look and immediately refused.
So hypocritical? But just a glance. Never mind.
Then, Ryuuen decided to spend some basic points to exchange for supplies first.
Most students will give up in the end anyway, so spend some basic points first.
And here in Class B, the little angels also saw hell.
---
The little angels in Class B had indeed seen hell. But at this moment on the beach, the teachers also discovered something interesting. The four class teachers were all here on the beach.
This is the first day. Starting tomorrow, two teachers will take turns on duty here every day. Although they are teachers, they also have time to rest.
Those who don't have work schedules can return to the ship.
It looks good.
After simply setting up a material exchange station, the four class teachers placed their notebooks on the table. Then they opened the GPS software.
The bracelets worn by students can monitor their physical health and are also equipped with positioning devices, so they can see the location of their students.
Although they can't identify which student's GPS it is, it's good to have a rough idea of it. So the scene became that four teachers opened their computers one by one.
Hoshinomiya Chie leaned her shoulders against the reclining chair.
"It makes me feel nostalgic," she said. "We are back to this island together again. It reminds me of the exam we took on this small island. Doesn't it, Sae-chan~?"
"Forget about that," Chabashira-sensei said with a straight face.
In her class, there was no one as outstanding as Nagumo Miyabi or Horikita Manabu.
Their Class D only thought of saving basic points and then adding a little bit of stronghold points.
So in the end, they only got 190 points in this exam.
It's not a big deal. Because the score of Class A in that year was 260 points. So, there is no comparison.
"But there are many more bases than our class," the digital teacher on the board spoke up.
"The data we got this time shows that there are 41 bases. The cabins of the staff who manage the island are also listed as one of the bases, and they have extra points."
"It's not like our class, which only had 30 bases."
As the digital teacher spoke, Hoshinomiya Chie seemed to nod, but then she turned her attention to Mashima-sensei's computer screen, completely ignoring the digital teacher.
"..." Digital teacher, Class C homeroom teacher.
This is really annoying. Hoshinomiya Chie is indeed this kind of person. If you talk about a topic she likes, she will communicate with you. But if she's not interested, she'll ignore you immediately. Very annoying.
"Class A that Mashima sensei is in is really excellent," Hoshinomiya Chie said as she came to Mr. Mashima's side.
Mr. Mashima had turned on his computer. The picture on the screen flashed by, and because Mr. Mashima discovered that he was being peeped at, he turned off the GPS software first.
"Don't come over and peek into my class," he said with a straight face.
The homeroom teachers of the four classes this term were all former classmates.
Mashima, Hoshinomiya Chie, and the digital teacher were all students of Class A. So they are classmates and it seems that the relationship is pretty good.
[T/N: The author seems to never name the Class C homeroom teacher. As he is the Digital Information and Communication Technology subject teacher, the author always addresses him as the digital teacher. Poor guy! Never being named!🤣]
But Mr. Mashima knew very well that the girl in front of him, Chie Hoshinomiya, was not an ordinary girl.
Otherwise, why would someone as sweet and lovely as her still be single now? There were quite a lot of boys in the class who liked her.
In the past, he had seen her kicking the railings and cursing at Chabashira. Then he slipped away without being noticed.
But the impression of that night is also engraved in his mind.
So he doesn't think Hoshinomiya Chie is a sweet girl.
[T/N: Does that not seem familiar? 🤔]
"But the students in your class are indeed excellent—" Hoshinomiya Chie seemed a little aggrieved.
"Like Sakayanagi-san, Katsuragi-kun, and Oreki-san. There are only Ichinose and Kanzaki-san in my class. At the same time, Ichinose-san is so gentle."
"And now, less than half an hour has passed, and your class has already occupied five bases."
"Go look at your own class," Mashima-sensei replied, unmoved.
In fact, he certainly knew how excellent Class A was this year. He also looked forward to the growth of Class A like the chairman and wanted to see how far they could go.
It's just that the class was split. The Katsuragi faction, the Sakayanagi faction, and the neutral Oreki faction.
It seemed that they had no interest in other classes at all and started fighting among themselves.
But Mashima-sensei also knew that this internal conflict could be their downfall. The division within Class A was something he worried about constantly, even if the students were individually talented.
Now that Arisu Sakayanagi is not here, the students in Class A have not yet completely separated. It seems to be going well. At the beginning, five strongholds have been obtained. Excellent performance.
"By the way, Hoshinomiya, isn't your Class B's performance pretty good too? They have passed several strongholds. It shows that they work hard. And the whole class is acting together. Their fighting spirit is very high," said Teacher Mashima.
In comparison, the students in his Class A occupied five strongholds and then did not take any action. It seems that he thinks this is fine.
However, the students in Class B kept walking without stopping. If I count, they have already passed several strongholds.
"Huh!" However, Hoshinomiya Chie immediately gave Mr. Mashima a look of disdain. It seems like she is blaming the other person for peeking at her computer.
In fact, she was still there when Ryuuen came to work with Ichinose and the others. So she knows that in this exam, Class B's results are stable.
Class C deducts basic points to provide supplies to Class B, and then Class B can save this part of the basic points. So in the final settlement, it can get a higher score than other classes.
Certainly, although you have to pay the corresponding points to Class C every month, you got the class evaluation score first, didn't you? The current class evaluation score of Class B is a bit far behind that of Class A, so it would be good if we could catch up a little.
But she also learned from Shibata that Class A and Class D had reached the same agreement. Class D is responsible for providing supplies to Class A, and Class A's basic points are then retained.
However, since Arisu Sakayanagi from Class A didn't come, 30 points will be deducted first. From this point of view, Class B still has a small advantage.
Now the students of Class A have occupied five bases and will not leave.
But her students in Class B are still looking for a new base, so they are more motivated. She also hoped that while the students of Class A were still around, Ichinose and the others could occupy as many bases as possible. After all, strongholds are on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you stay too long or accidentally use other people's things, you will be deducted points. They are very familiar with this island; it is an artificial island.
So there will be some food, such as corn, even vegetables, and so on. If these things are picked or destroyed without the consent of the class that has occupied the base, points will be deducted.
And the points deduction is very large. But the value of having it is also great because vegetables, corn, and fruits can all be used as food. The school specially hires people to nurture them.
In other words, if you occupy enough strongholds, you can get more food instead of using basic points to exchange for so many supplies.
Even if Class B joins forces with Class C, they can still be as self-sufficient as possible. In the end, they only need to pay a relatively small amount of points to Ryuuen. So Class B is profiting.
Hoshinomiya Chie quietly glanced at the computer screen of the digital teacher. Except for one student who was walking towards the beach, the other 39 students in total were staying in one place.
Does that mean they are just setting up the camps? This is a good opportunity because setting up camp will take several hours. After all, today's students don't have much experience in outdoor camping, and it may take two hours to set up a tent.
This period of time is enough for the students in Class B to visit many locations. The student from Class C who came over probably also wanted to exchange supplies.
In other words, the situation in Class B is very good now. Hoshinomiya Chie thought so with a cheerful mood.
But, she also found it a little strange. It is clear that the task of finding a base can be assigned to some students.
What if all 40 students, including Ichinose, act together? Why not leave some people to set up camp first? The school allocated 2 tents to each class, although it's definitely not enough.
Some students will stay in the original place to camp, and some will go to find a new base to score points first.
So, why should all students continue to act together? This is what she couldn't understand. Then she turned her attention to Class D's homeroom teacher, Chabashira Sae.
"Hehe, Sae-san, your class is still like this—"
Hoshinomiya Chie came to Chabashira-sensei's side. Although Chabashira also turned on the computer and called up the GPS software, the bracelets carried by the students were represented as red dots on the map.
But didn't the students in Class D move at all? They just stayed in a stronghold.
Oh no. Three students from Class D left the team. Then two of the three students fell down, and one ran very fast. Like Tarzan.
He almost left the other two students far behind. Then the two students who were left behind seemed to give up. There was absolutely no sign of them moving forward or backward. It seems that they are not taking any further action.
But this Tarzan guy is really awesome, Hoshinomiya Chie thought to herself. He moved so fast, flashing past one stronghold after another. He even passed by the next base that the little angels of Class B were heading towards.
That means the two groups met each other.
...
Meanwhile, although the digital teacher on the board found Hoshinomiya Chie annoying, he continued to monitor his computer. He placed his hopes on Ryuuen and looked forward to Ryuuen's comeback in this island exam.
And this girl, Hoshinomiya Chie, should enjoy her moment while she can, because Ryuuen is coming from behind. The digital teacher was very confident.
"Teacher—"
But at that moment, a student from Class C came running over in a hurry.
You can see that he ran here very hard and his back was all wet.
This is Ishizaki Daichi from Class C.
"If we break the corn in the base occupied by other classes, how many basic points will be deducted?"
Ishizaki Daichi asked quickly. "We came to a base, but it was occupied by students from Class D."
"Eh?"
The digital teacher stood up in surprise.
As a result, has Class C started to lose points now?
And this is what happened when Ishizaki-san came over for consultation and then ran back.
But.
The teacher felt numb.
Because it was -50 points on the spot!

Hey guys, I just saw that someone else is also translating this COTE fic (Oreki Houtarou's Strength Supreme Classroom), and honestly, it's good for me. You know, I'm already writing a DxD fanfic, and I'll also be starting an original novel in January.
It was becoming too much of a burden for me to continue translating the COTE fic. But I still intended to finish it until the end.
Now that someone else is working on it, it's better for me to step back and let him/her handle it. It really takes a weight off my shoulders.
I'll wait to officially announce it until he/she translates up to the chapters I've done.
I really hope he/she doesn't abandon it—I genuinely like this fic. It's on WebNovel with a similar name, so check it out. Leave some reviews for that fic.
With the link below, you can access the advanced chapters of my COTE fic on Patreon for free. Anyone can read it. Good luck!
