The neglected grapevine in the corner had come back to life, vigorously sprouting new shoots. It seemed that they would be able to enjoy grapes this autumn. Clara found a vacant spot near the bamboo house, moved the grapevine there, and set up a few bamboo poles. When Mateo returned, they could build a bamboo canopy, allowing them to dine, chat, and stargaze beneath it during the summer.
Clara planned the small yard quite well. The few flat baskets she had were almost woven into shape, making it convenient for drying things in the future.
The earthen house from before had changed a lot. The bamboo fence surrounding it was half a person's height, and Clara planted wild rose vines in the gaps. These wild flowers were easy to grow and had thorns, making them excellent for protecting the yard. Clara often saw them in her hometown during her childhood, but as she grew older, many plants disappeared from her hometown.
