As Jaffery said this, his eyes were opening and closing uncontrollably. He was now safe inside the car and the pressure that he was through because of fighting the corrupted beasts was now no more, so his body was surrendering to the resting found. Jaffery wanted nothing but to sleep right now but he could not afford to sleep especially with his life-threatening wounds and the thought of Shamim wandering somewhere together with Victor.
"Ding!"
A sound was heard which then reminded Jaffery that he still had a phone.
With his trembling hands due to exhaustion, Jaffery got the phone out of his pocket. Someone seemed to have sent him an sms.
"Who might have sent me a message in the middle of the night? Is it my parents? Let me check it out." Jaffery was espectant as he switched on his phone. If it were his parents that were calling him, then he would be happy knowing that his parents still cared about him.
