Chapter 16 - Restrained in the traffic jam

Jaffery Lutta was in a stuporous moment, in his mind, he was all thinking about suicide and how his whole life had been an utter joke.

Paul Nduta saw that Jaffery Lutta was not himself anymore and he halted his car and got out before he opened the door to the back seat and shoved Jaffery Lutta inside. Because Jaffery Lutta was so weak and absentminded, he was easily shoved inside, not giving him a chance to retaliate.

"What has this guy been up to lately?" Paul Nduta murmured to himself before he got into his car.

Paul Nduta then smiled at his girl who was seated at the front passenger seat and drove off madly amid the chaotic crowd.

Fortunately, the traffic was not that bad, it was just that all the drivers seemed to have gone insane as everyone was in the rush.

"These guys must have come from the stadium. It is usually chaotic after these football fans finished watching the game and then decide to come out of the stadium." Paul Nduta said to the girl beside him while driving. This was Paul's conjecture regarding the huge influx of people who were running haphazardly everywhere as if they were escaping for their lives.

Actually, if Paul Nduta was observant, he would have realized that the situation was not the way he was thinking, it was like something was chasing the masses and making them trampled over each other as no one cared for the well-being of their fellows as they only cared for themselves. But what caused the people to run rampant was still unknown.

"Paul! Look there! What is going on at that place? It doesn't seem to be ok." Recho Wairimu who was sitting opposite Paul Nduta said to him while pointing at what she was seeing.

At the back seat, Jaffery Lutta who had been snoring lazily opened his eyes, this was because he had heard the soft voice of Recho Wairimu.

This voice sobered him up and from where Jaffery Lutta was seated, he could still gawk at Recho Wairimu's frame, though he could only see a small part of it as her passenger seat which she had seated on had obscured his view.

Jaffery Lutta could not help but smile like an idiot. He couldn't believe that he was seeing Recho Wairimu once again.

"Am I dreaming or it's true that Recho Wairimu is right in front of me?" Jaffery Lutta murmured before he slapped himself just to make sure that he was still in the earth realm and not in the dream world.

"It is true. Recho Wairimu is right in front of me. Did she came for me? It seems like Recho Wairimu cares about me so much. OMG! I knew she would never leave me." Jaffery Lutta stood up sluggishly and supported himself using Recho Wairimu's seat before reached almost closer to her.

All this time, one should know that Jaffery Lutta had still not registered Paul Nduta's presence. All that was in his mind was this view of Recho Wairimu. Jaffery Lutta had never gotten satisfied of staring at how beautiful Recho Wairimu was, he just wanted to gaze at her frame all the time which calmed his agitated mind. It didn't matter even if Recho Wairimu had turned him in to the police, Jaffery Lutta still loved her, she was his crush after all, his everything.

"Her smell is just as fragrant as usual, I don't know how it would feel like when she offers her body to me." Jaffery Lutta could not help but start fantasizing him and Recho Wairimu being in the same room just the two of them and then Recho Wairimu gave herself to him. He could not help but grin widely like a fool.

Paul Nduta took a glance at the back seat and saw what Jaffery Lutta was doing which made him to scowl, he even forgot that he was driving and wanted to slap Jaffery Lutta up, that was when Recho Wairimu's voice was heard.

"Paul, watch out!" Paul Nduta averted his gaze from Jaffery Lutta and stared at the mess in front of them.

"All this shit? We are so fucked up. I don't know when it will end." After halting the car, Paul Nduta was exasperated by the view in front of them. As far as his eyes could see, the traffic jam was stationary and so long, it seemed as if the drivers of these cars had decided to park them on the road this day.

"It can't be that the road up-front is being repaired right now, otherwise, these people would have turned around and used another road." Paul uttered thoughtfully while staring at the huge traffic jam, wondering if he could get a space where he could pass his car but he couldn't see anything like that.

"Paul, look at them, what are they doing?" Recho Wairimu who had still not seen Jaffery Lutta gazing at her from the back asked Paul Nduta while pointing at some people who were getting from their cars and decided to walk to their destination.

"Don't tell me that these guys are leaving their own cars here. This is the main road, not a parking lot for fuck's sake!" Having no option, Paul Nduta then decided to turn his vehicle around so that they could go back and use another route but to his dismay, while they were still preoccupied by analyzing the situation, several cars had already sealed Paul Nduta's car escape route. He now coudn't get his car out of this traffic jam.

"Shit! What the fuck is happening today!" Paul Nduta could not help but curse out aloud.

"I am so hungry..." Jaffery Lutta's tired voice was suddenly heard from the back seat after the two people in the front seats bacame quite as everyone was thinking to themselves.
