Recap: Murlidhar Sarkar, a lawyer, in his call with Radhika, talked about how he was thinking about his first love from the morning. Later, Murli called Rukmini and asked about what gifts she had bought. Meanwhile, Radhika, desperate, saved Murli's number in her phone and later called him.
A sweet and very familiar female voice said, "Hello!"
Murli took a second, adjusted his throat and said, "Yes?"
"Murlidhar?"
"Yes, speaking."
"I-I am-m Radhika. I spoke to you this morning under the name Vishnupriya."
Radhika reached Vrindavan Wedding Hall at around 7:10pm. Sakshi ran to the bride's dressing room. Radhika didn't like to mix with many people so, in the gorgeously dressed and overcrowded hall, she found a chair and sat down. Everyone was busy eating and drinking anything they got in the stalls put up in the courtyard. Radhika didn't feel to eat anything at that moment.
She opened her app. She desperately wanted to call him. Her heart was beating fast. She finally decided to call Murli.
"Hello!"
"Yes?" A soft masculine voice came in, with few jerks.
"Murlidhar?"
"Yes, speaking."
"I-I am-m Radhika. I spoke to you this morning under the name Vishnupriya." Her brain calmed down but needed an immediate reply from the other side.
"Oh, yeah. Hi! Long time, no see! When did you talk to me today?" Murli said.
Radhika's cheeks were all red. "Actually, this morning, when you called in We Listening, it was me who received the call. Of course, as per protocol, I couldn't disclose my real name or voice. A-ah-um, I actually wanted to ask. Are you in Ushering? Attending any wedding?" Radhika's vocal cords uttered this stuff.
Murli digested all these. He thought, "God has given me an opportunity that no one gets."
Murli- "Yes, I am in Ushering. And, obviously, I am about to attend a wedding."
Radhika- "Ca-ca-can we meet?"
Murli didn't think of getting this question this quick but he instantly replied, "Maybe. Where are you now?"
Radhika- "You know Vrindavan Wedding Hall?"
At this very moment, a girl was taking a presentation to the downstairs. It had several artificial peacock feathers as its decorations. Suddenly, one of them, coincidentally, came out and, in the air, touched Murli's face. Two feelings touched him at the same time.
Murli- "You are at Vrindavan Wedding Hall?"
Radhika- "Yes."
Murli- "Whose wedding?"
Radhika- "My boss's daughter's."
Murli- "Can you tell me the bridgegroom's name from the wedding card?"
Radhika (seeing the card)- "Pritam Thadani."
Murli's heart got a pleasure like no other. He said, "I am on the bridgegroom's side. See you there."
Radhika was happy like no other. After the call ended, she jumped up and went to the stalls. The mood of eating and drinking anything was set.
It had been just fifteen minutes. She was tired of consuming a lot of things. She sat down to rest, not knowing that her overthinking habit would return right then.
"Wait! It had been fifteen years since we last talked. What would I tell him? Would I able to tell him what I wanted to tell then? What if he is already married and his wife wouldn't let me talk to him? Plus, what would he tell me? What should I reply then?"
Murli enjoyed the breeze but it was interrupted by a call. He was on the fifth floor and Rukmini was already in the parking lot. She called him to come down. It was about time they should move. He went downstairs and, along with other cars, he drove his one too. All the relatives headed towards Vrindavan Wedding Hall.
As the distance lessened, Murli was getting more anxious and excited. He didn't express his feelings through his face but was feeling a storm inside. He reached the hall at around 7:30 pm.
While others became busy in last minute preparations, Murli moved inside the hall and went straight to the big hallroom where the wedding was about to be held. He looked for her there but couldn't find.
He wasn't even able to go out of the room because of the crowd that surrounded him and also because the wedding was about to begin.
The bride, sitting over a plank being carried by her brothers, was coming inside the room. She also had two betel leaves on her hands, that covered her face from the bridegroom. This was a Bengali wedding ritual called Subhodristi (Eng: Holy sight).
Murli's phone vibrated. It was Radhika calling him.
Murli- "Yes, where are you?"
Radhika- "Obviously in the wedding room."
Murli walked few steps. Radhika walked few steps. Murli subsided few people. Radhika subsided few people.
The bride moved the leaves from the front of her face and looked in the bridegroom's eyes. Everyone smiled and clapped in rejoice.
Murli and Radhika's eyes met. The wait for fifteen years ended, probably.
