Everyone woke up on Wednesday morning to the news of the missing tuner of tuner's town, the threatning messages the kidnapper sent and how the walls of the tuner's place were half brought down were posted alongside the news even though most of the messages were false, the king had no choice but to publisice the news, the search for the tuner wasn't leading to any where, the tuner was described to be brown skinned, with black straight long hair, brown cola eyes and she is nineteen, all described by Turlip, the village wanted the world's help to find their tuner if that was ever going to be possible with Turlip's description, everybody had different views about the news since the village had denied aliens for some months now, not more than an hour that the news was posted the topic about how small the tuner's abode suddenly became a hot topic, someone somewhere was adding fire and that was Turlip, Cyan was adding his own sauce even though he wanted to stay clear of Jade, he knew very well that Jade was the tuner especially after Turlip's description it was obvious to him that she wanted to protect Jade, the topic became so loud on every social media platform that the king had to delete his post and the town remained silent, they were already pushed to a thight coner and the town had almost no hope again but even still the fire of the topic on social media didn't ease.
While on Jade's end she got the announcement from dance school that the school's prom night was approaching in two weeks time, she gazed at the message with a thoughtful expression then hmphed, she dumped the phone into the fruit basket in front of her and picked her potato chips to eat, the prom didn't sound like any of her business, just then a call came in through her phone and she picked it up lazily, it was an unfamiliar number slowly she picked the call and a boy's voice came through the phone, "good day Jade, this is Patrick, Louis Patrick your senior at dance school" the voice said "oh, why did you phone me" she asked indiffrently as she filled her mouth with a handful of potato chips, "well, I, I got your phone number from miss April, I actually called because of the prom" he muttered with nervousness visible in his voice "so, what about the prom?" she muttered back "hmm, do you have a date for the prom" he asked and she paused "no, you want to be my date?" she asked while hitting the nail on the head "yeah, yeah, i called to ask you to be my date" he said with more nervousness "okay" she mumbled indiffrently "really, you would be my date" he cried in excitement and she frowned slightly at his cry "yeah" she muttered "thanks so much for this opportunity, hmmm, our colour, i chosed lemon" he said "okay, bye" she muttered "hmm, do you mind we meet for a date before the prom" he said "no" she muttered and disconected the call then she continued with her potato chips, on the boy's end, he stood up from the midst of his friends and made an excited cry "Jade agreed, she agreed" he cried and his friends sighed they already heard it since he was on the call, "she sounded uninterested" one of them muttered "who cares, Jade is my date for the prom that's what matters" the boy said and strolled out excitedly while his friends exchanged glances with one another other and nodded negatively, the news circulated the dance school in no time that April go to know about it, she phoned her brother as soon as the news got to her, "you are aware my school's prom night is approaching right?" she muttered "i wont be available" he said "i wasn't asking you to come, i just called to inform you that you dont need to worry about pushing Jade away any longer, she already has someone that can tolerate her disturbance" April said and there was a long pause on Cyan's end "its for the better" he finally said and disconnected the call, "idiot" April cried as she almost slammed her phone on the floor in anger. On Cyan's end, he dropped the call and suddenly lost interest in the work he was doing, he didn't feel well with the sudden news at all, 'who is the person?, could he protect her?, could he make her happy?" he questioned in his head without any answers, "i wasn't hoping to feel like this" he muttered under his breath, he picked his cigarette and walked to the window in his office to take a smoke.
